I'm one who thinks he's better than he's shown, and has a chance to have a good senior year. I also think people are way too harsh with him, especially with his punt returns. That leads me to the interesting stat I found. He was 8th in the nation in punt return average yardage this season and 19th in overall punt return yards. He only had 12 catches for 178 and 2 TD, but aside from Coley and Richards, no WRs really caught any passes. It'll be interesting to see how he's used next year.

He left a lot of yards on the field this year...I lost all faith in him, thought he would be elite..I mean he's not a jag I just thought he would be better then what he is

He is currently playing out of position. Once he is put in the slot next year, he will ball.

Maybe, but his ability to make people miss in the open field seems kind of average sometimes....He is more of an athlete then a football player IMO... THought he would be a Ryan Switzer for us..Switzer is the same size roughly and excels on the outside thats not an excuse

Not all 4*s live up to the hype. His best game was the last Spring game. If he stays, I hope to see more production from him.

Agree, belongs in the slot and needs to get the ball in space. His first and 2nd steps are average, but he's very explosive and fast from there.

Never seen a player who gets tripped up in the open field more than this guy.

I see yall still riding that "next year Berrios will ball" train though.

He can have a better season if he's used primarily in the slot but that won't change the fact that he can't create separation and can't make defenders miss in the open field.

Kid is a microcosm of Golden's recruiting failures. Travels to Carolina to sign a 5'8" white kid when he's got Isaiah McKenzie in his backyard.

To be fair McKenzie has dropped a ton of balls at Georgia this year....but yes he is more of a playmaker then Berrios...I admit I bought in full circle he tore up the opening and had a good freshman year then he got injured (thanx to Bad Pass from Kaaya)... I thought this was his year

Lol. He caught one short TD pass falling down and had a great spring game?!?! No, he did nothing. I was there. Berrios finally flashed as a junior. If UM had any real depth he'd be buried on the chart. That being said it would be smart to try him in the slot and as a motion guy full time. His punt returns were solid this season. Most importantly he's reliable catching punts. His FSU return this year in the 4th was HUGE. If he had legit 4.5 speed he would've housed it. I'm just not a fan of returners that don't have elite speed but Berrios is a football player.

I'd take McKenzie's occasional drops to have his play making ability on special teams and in the slot.

Graig Cooper.

Definitely agree with the Berrios/McKenzie comment. I've seen McKenzie play since he was @ Doral with Bobo...there is no comparison between the two. McKenzie is superior in every way. Beyond Golden, reaching for these lesser players from not-Dade/Broward/PBC, has been an issue for Shannon and the end of the Coker run, too. But that has been a topic beaten to death, unfortunately.

Coop made a ton of plays though. More in one season than Berrios has made his whole career.

You are not wrong. However, he is Miami's all-time leading trip'r.

He is an average player. Maybe he has good leadership skills and is a good locker room guy? I have no idea. I have seen many guys break out in their senior years though. Who knows.
