Braxton Berrios (interesting stat)

Berrios, Gus, Dogflu, Courtel all looking for more playing time in their final seasons. Don't blame them.

I mean I hate to lose a WR on a year when we have low scholly numbers at the position, but some of yall are acting like he was great. The kid cant get separation at this level, it wasn't nagging injuries, it wasn't him being misused, he's just not putting it all together on the field. On top of that no matter how he feels about transferring, he will not find a more favorably situation then ours, we will literally have like 7 receivers, three of which will be freshmen.

For some reason it's very hard for people on here to come to the realization that one of our players simply isn't that good.

They did it with Jelani Hamilton. ("He hurt his knee in high school.")
They did it with Malcolm Lewis. ("His leg had to be reattached.")
They did it with Tracy Howard. ("The scheme ruined him.")
And now they're doing it with Berrios. ("He's being misused.")

Berrios and Kaaya were boys so him looking elsewhere is not surprising. Would hurt our depth for sure but i'm good with not having to see him back there returning punts

I think Berrios was offered because of Brad Kaaya, they were close during the recruiting circuit.

I still think he's a better wide receiver than Isaiah McKenzie. Mckenzie should have been offered also tho.

He was a 4 star recruit dude

His offer came a little later in the process like summer I believe. Most blue chippers get offered their junior year or spring.

He's exactly what Golden likes. Blue collar coal shoveler who's reliable, runs good routes, lifts weights, is a team player, etc....but isn't dynamic.

Berrios would be short sighted to transfer. The guy has a great shot at good PT at UM this coming year, knows the playbook, etc., and he's willing to start over at a new school where he might be in the same boat (used as the 3rd WR) or even perhaps less (not used as a PR).

I agree but maybe he's worried about Mullins. *shrug*
There's also a couple big WR's coming back that could take some reps/balls away from him.

At best, he's our 3rd WR next year and our PR....kind of like this year.

I have a hard time believing Mullins scares him.

As far as Tracy goes he spent an entire year on an NFL roster after being a UDFA. Cleveland or not thats an accomplishment. They're playing him at FS and on special teams. Maybe he was just out of position.

Why isn't he playing CB then?
I watched the Browns a couple times this year. He never sees the field at Safety either.

Translation: He isn't that good.

He's an UDFA rookie. How much should he be playing? He's beating the odds as is. Collect them checks Tracy.
