Hindsight is 20/20.

Doesn't change the fact that we should've recruited him instead of Berrios.

You think Golden knew that McKenzie would have some drops in the 2016 season?

Needs to shed 10 LBs. hes not shift at all on punt returns. Him there and Malcolm at KR is painful

He's one of the best fair catchers I have ever seen.

Never seen a player who gets tripped up in the open field more than this guy.

I see yall still riding that "next year Berrios will ball" train though.

He can have a better season if he's used primarily in the slot but that won't change the fact that he can't create separation and can't make defenders miss in the open field.

Kid is a microcosm of Golden's recruiting failures. Travels to Carolina to sign a 5'8" white kid when he's got Isaiah McKenzie in his backyard.

He got some nice separation on that WVU Safety.

After watching some of the bone head special teams plays during this bowl season with muffs and fumbles and not knowing when to fair catch the ball and when to let it bounce...
... it made me appreciate this kid even more.

I expect him to be a very valuable weapon next year on our run for a Major Bowl Game.

When Richt said that he needed to learn the players better I'm sure Berrios was one of the 1st that came to his mind.
I think Greentree led Richter to believe Barrios could play at a high level in the X or Z spot.

He showed that he is strictly slot and I'm sure Richt knows this now.

I'm amazed at the lack of football acumen here on this board pertaining to punt returning and the job of Berrios has done this year. He has made several nice runs, to my knowledge has not muffed a punt, and his catches or lack of catches has NOT put UM in a situation where the punt had changed the game in a negative way against us. HE DOES WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO W/O JEOPARDIZING FIELD POSITION ALL THE TIME! That is the reason Richt had him back there and he does has the ability to make a nice run after the catch. Just seems like there is a lot of displaced anger against this kid. I would give this kid a B+ for the season and hope he keeps his job next year.

Urban Meyer wanted Berrios bad...

This exactly. When I see braxton back there I know that we won't be getting any negative yards or catastrophes. That's something that will be missed once he's gone

I dont understand the criticism either, hes obviously ery talented, he cant help that it took Brad Kaaya to the bowl game before he figurd out how to throw to him accurately

Coach Macho pointed out his skin color, that is a big problem with him apparently.

McKenzie was nothing as WR until this year (though he was always a good returner). McKenzie also just declared for the draft....so there's that.

Mckenzie who had less than 200 receiving yards coming into this season?

I get your point though.. at least he's black. Dumbass

To be fair McKenzie has dropped a ton of balls at Georgia this year....but yes he is more of a playmaker then Berrios...I admit I bought in full circle he tore up the opening and had a good freshman year then he got injured (thanx to Bad Pass from Kaaya)... I thought this was his year

I'd take McKenzie's occasional drops to have his play making ability on special teams and in the slot.

Plus he's not white...
