Brashard Smith calls out Gattis on Twitter (and then deletes it)

James Williams will be starting
Kam will be starting
Couch will be starting
Avantae will be playing a lot
Most of the Dline will return

Young will be starting
Ladson will be starting
Restrepo will be starting
TVD will be starting
Arroya and Skinner will be splitting

Do ya'll really think it is going to be completely different roster? Is that what you mean or do you mean the mentality? I don't know, I could be wrong, but i don't see a huge roster turnover. I don't see the 1st team on both sides being all that different.
Wouldn’t bet the house on anybody returning outside of guys who used up their transfer already unless coaching changes are made.

Blame the OC or the QBs for bein trash all year but he hasn’t scored one time on 43 touches this year. Hard to imagine blaming anyone other than himself cause surely he’d get the ball more if he was making big plays at least sometimes

Context matters but playmakers find a way. He can be but he not one yet.

I am confused.

Let me explain.

Five days ago, SMD sent out a Tweet which read: “Miami OC Josh Gattis said he doesn't want Brashard Smith spending as much time on the sideline. Coaches are trying to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.”

Again, that Tweet and that quote are five days old.

After the game last night, Smith re-tweeted the Tweet and put only a period as his response. On Twitter, this typically indicates that the user AGREES with the original tweet. The period acts a proverbial exclamation point on the original statement.

However, in this instance, it was done in a facetious matter.

As we all saw, Smith barely played last night.

So by taking the old quote and adding the period, he was taking a shot at Gattis and essentially saying: “Hey look, you told the media a few days you wanted me to get more involved, but tonight I barely played. How does that make sense?”

The confusion on here arose because it wasn’t clear initially in the way I formatted the exchange that the Gattis quote was five days old.

Some posters thought the Gattis quote was from last night and that Smith’s period was a legitimate agreement and not him making a statement.

Once I clarified the quote was five days old, it became abundantly clear to everyone what was going on.

To further reinforce this, Smith deleted the Tweet after about 20 minutes.

98 yards of total offense.....
98 yards
98 yards
98 yards
98 yards

I don't care if Mario landed all the 5 STAR offensive studs that would be the equivalent of the 49ers led Joe Montana offense back in the day. Canes will not win jack ***** with Gattis in control of the Offense which is downright offensive!

Plenty of blame to go around. Gattis should/will be invited to leave; kids just can't help themselves with friggin social media. Obviously Smith, who Coarch Cristobal has bragged on, understands his tweet was in bad judgment, frustration notwithstanding. Cane Mutiny! What a sh**show. Maybe Coarch needs a new 85. Work on that. Could this season have possibly played out worse? 8m reasons to say we suck.

Did you see Mario with what looked like the plays stuffed in the front of his pants?

Don’t think he ever pulled them out …

I have no idea why that dude walks around with play sheets in his pants. He’s never called a play.

Just waiting on the clown squad to come in here and bash Brashard. Another bad “culture” player that the coaches need to weed out, right?
after last week praising him for being a dog w the screens

I thought BS would have more wiggle to him but he lacks that quick twitch. Also I’ve seen people on here say he’s a burner but I see a 4.6 guy currently. I could be wrong but that what it seems like
