Yeah Linder is a key peice of our running game here in Jax. Dude can play any position and be good . One of the best centers in the NFL IMO.

Nick was badly injured and would have redshirted this year anyway. Poor optics but same result, he wasnt going to play.

Outside of Jim Otto, this is probably the only time that the best center in the NFL was a Cane

Great performance. Linder is effective regardless if his responsibility is power or positioning. Every time I see him it looks superior to the prior game.

I thought he was having an excellent game, so I checked Pro Football Focus. They gave Linder the top grade of any player in the game, at 89.8:

If the Jaguars wanted to send a message on the opening drive, they were very successful. Linder was at the heart of it, demolishing DI L.T. Walton on double teams to create big lanes for Leonard Fournette. While Linder gets the highlighted name, the truth is all of the Jaguars offensive linemen should take a bow. They created, especially in the first half, a lot of room in the run game and in pass protection the five starters only allowed a combined four hurries on 140 total pass-blocking snaps. A stunning day for a unit that were simply not expected to play so well.

McDermott was a first team All-ACC center.

McDermott definitely improved but was hardly dominant.

When it came time to face Dominique Easley, Tim Jernigan he was over-matched.
