Brad kaaya, we have a qb!

Going to be good for sure, would like to see him tuck the ball and run when there is nothing there. That TD run was the first time this year that I remember him running the ball at all. I know he is not real fast but even a couple of yards and a slide keeps the defense guessing and creates a extra weapon.

He's a good qb... I expect him to struggle in the next few weeks but he's really promising... He's talented kid... Kaata abd Watson is going to make the ACC qb battles look great in years to come... Oh in regards to Hackenburg, Kaaya is in oace to havea better season than Hackenburg had as a freshman...

Toledo

563 yards. Logan Woodside (never heard of him) 27/40 323 yards 3TD 0 INT

Ohio State

710 yards. JT Barrett (um gulp bc you saw him v VT) 26/36 330 yards. 4 TD 0 INT

Memphis

610 yards. Paxton Lynch (who?) 18/25 310 yards 2 TD 0 INT

Today was totally meaningless.
Can't have it both ways. If he would have thrown two picks people would kill him.

yes competition was weak, but if you aren't able to watch and see the progress he is making even against weak team you probably should refrain from commenting at all cause you are exposing yourself and lack of seeing the clear development on a number of levels.

You should apply for the AD job, you would fit right in captain unobvious.

He's good. Now I wanna see him take a game over or make some clutch throws, against a good team, on the road. I wanna see if he's ready for "prime-time".

Thursday day night against VT I we will see.

You mean, you want him to do Junior/Senior QB things as a true freshman?

Sounds like you have realistic expectations.

Yeah that's what separates "good" from "great." Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, Tim Tebow, Christian Hackenburg, & others stepped up and won games on the road. Sophmore or freshman seasons.

He's having a better season than hackenburgh IMO.

Brad Kaaya is playing on an offense with 3 NFL WR's, and NFL RB, top 5 LT, NFL TE. He BETTER do numbers in that offense....

Umm the freshman seasons were redshirt not true freshman seasons, just saying.

So Christian Hackenburg was redshirted? lmao

Hackenburgh also had a future nfl hc as his oc and qb coach. He was throwing to a wr that was drafted in the second round. We could keep going and you still come off looking stupid.

So you think penn state's offense is as good as Miami's? Lmao I'm done. That was the DUMBEST comment ever. Top 5 WR core in the nation, and PSU just has Robinson? Please.

Christian Hackenburg would break records in this offense.

I realize it's been brought up in other threads and cincy has a **** defense but man does this kid impress me for a true freshman. His performance and the running of duke Johnson are about the only reason I'm still watching the games.

The kid has poise in the pocket, his arm strength is adequate and should improve with strength and conditioning and his work ethic is what we have been missing for a while. That and he tends to really grasp things quickly and apply a what he learns on the field.

I understand the mood around here is negative, as it should be with the **** we've seen on defense the last 4 years, but at least seeing this your kid grow up will be fun to watch.

He's going to be a good one, but I think we're going to have a hard time keeping him from transferring (eventually)back to Cali if this chit show continues much longer.

How ridiculous. There's mopery, and then there's pure asinine stupidity. So now Kaaya is likely to transfer? Really? Based on what, your whining?

Starting qbs don't transfer in college football.

What? Of course you can have it both ways. Playing well against a bad team means nothing when you're expected to play well. Playing poorly against a bad team means something when you're expected to play well. Expectations are everything.

With that said, Kaaya is the goods and I agree with everything else you said.

Enjoy.

Can't have it both ways, on one quote he's having better numbers than Hackenburg but he better cus of talent around him, but now here you are implying that Hackenburg had a better true freshman season?

Look HISTORY, logic and rational sense based on HISTORICAL data, will give proper perspective. Which is what we see is a potential star in the making, his trajectory is up, as long as he continues to develop. And based on all we have heard and read about the kid, he should. But no offense with a true freshman QB EVER will "fire on all cylinders" consistently then added with the fact that we have a staff and head coach who play defense with a "prevent" philosophy.

I mean I honestly can't get what is your criticism of Kaaya at this stage of his game, he is clearly performing better than you can expect out of a true freshman

Thread is too positive for my liking.

He's been sacked the third most & picked off the 3rd most in the ACC. What happened there, Brad?

Ahhh.... That's better.

Hackenburg has a tremendous arm but he gets into locked down tunnel vision mode and relies almost exclusively on line drives. No sign of touch. Hence the lousy outings like 13 points at Michigan including shut out in the second half.

Kaaya already has a superior feel for varying pace and loft than Hackenburg has ever displayed. Not that I'm discounting Hackenburg. John Elway had some of those same faults early in his career. If a rocket wasn't the requirement of the play, he defaulted to the rocket anyway.

There is so much **** sipping in this thread it isn't funny.

We finally get a good QB, FINALLY GET A GOOD QB, and all half of you can do is throw stones.

If Kaaya had Sumlin as a coach and a full year to learn the system before playing, then you could compare him to Manziel.

If he was surrounded by MULTIPLE veteran future first day NFL picks with Urban Meyer or Jimbo Fisher (both max out their offenses), we could compare him to Jameis or Tebow.

He has SHREDDED HAckenberg to this point. He has poise, he has touch, he can work the entire field and he has gotten all of his weapons involved. Who does that sound like? (HINT: It is Ken Dorsey)

He has bad habits just like every 19 year old QB, but his worst habit is actually running the plays that James Coley calls. The offense bogs down in the 2nd and 3rd quarter every week because Coley turns on the "Ask Madden" button and takes a siesta. Meanwhile this kid keeps ballin' and getting better every week.

If we are still laying eggs on the road at this point next season, we might be able to start calling some things in to question. Until then sit back and relax.

Agree with you on all accounts.

@TheStateOfTheU: I like Brad a lot. I'm excited to have him as our QB. Will do great things here.

But Hackenburg? Gimme him over Kaaya. Yup. I said it.

@TheStateOfTheU: In a heartbeat. RT @AjBrown7: you'd take Hack as a freshman over Kaaya?
