This list off the top off my head..
Kellen Winslow, Kevin Everett, Ryan Moore, roscoe Parrish, darnell Jenkins, Kevin beard,..RB was a Freshman Tyrone Moss, gore(injured in 03) Geathers, and yes Payton..

in 2003, a team that had national title talent he went 12 TD to 17 ints..and the team STILL won a orange bowl..the next year he much more solid but still that’s the year we lost a couple games we absolutely shouldn’t have with the talent on those rosters..

We have a very weird revisionist memory towards Berlin cause he was on the last String of good teams in that 99-2005 period..but he had national title talent around him and held it back especially in 2003

Not worse than Rosier. You have to remember, he had a decently long NFL career, so he wasn't as bad as you're making him sound. You also have to remember what our O was doing BEFORE Dorsey took over. Kenny Kelly couldn't hit the broad side of a Bubba Franks. If you're going to compare QBs to Rosier, Kenny Kelly would be a better comparison. Only difference is Rosier wasn't afraid to run the ball.

Yeah, I wish Dorsey had Marino's arm and Vick's legs, but he didn't. He did, however, have enough arm to spread the ball around and keep defenses off balance with his brain, and good timing. No one will ever say that about any QB we've had since.

So what? Last time i checked the Canes didn't play in the NFL did they?

The guy did it here for three straight years with every kind of O-line imaginable, multiple coordinators and schemes. Numbers and records don'r lie.

All you're doing it rewriting documented history to fit your preconceived narrative.

Don't know about "y'all" but I don't need to lie about anything. I can point to the numbers to back what I say, what can you do?

The guy took care of the ball, made quick decisions and got rid of it when he had to. That is indisputable.

Lol at numbers don’t lie... except when it’s time to talk about his worst of all time 3rd down conversion rate or his pedestrian TD scoring numbers in an offense designed for the QB to throw 35+ TDs.

Let’s put this in perspective regarding regular season production....

Malik Rosiers best TD throwing season in 2017 is better than any season Kaaya had in his cfb career. In 2017 Malik Rosier threw 26 TDs, 25 TDs came in the regular season.

2014... Kaaya threw 25 TDs, 24 TDs in the regular season.

2015.... Kaaya wowed us with 16 passing TDs thrown, with only 15 TD passes during the regular season on 389 pass attempts. (Oh that’s right y’all celebrate the fact that he only threw 5 Interceptions playing scared as elite!! 😐)

2016... Kaaya had 27 TDs with only 23 TDs in the regular season.

Kaaya was mentally weak, had no IT factor in him and constantly killed drives. It wasn’t the defenses fault he couldn’t score points in a system designed for the QB to carry the team and score points.

Y’all crowning a player that couldn’t put up more single season passing TDs than Malik Rosier 😂🤦‍♂️

I'm not crowning anyone.

I'm saying under similar circumstances Kaaya likely would have performed better because he historically made good throwing decisions quickly while taking care of the ball in the process. That's all we needed because the Turds, led by their ignoramus under center, were **** bent on self destruction. There were many instances Saturday night where Jarren didn't do that, taking bad sacks and being tentative.

Those facts are indisputable and are backed statistically.

The rest of your week minded talk and laughable Rosier comparisons are just you not liking him and saying it every chance you get.

I'd say Richards, Coley, and Dorsett is a better group of wide receivers and Duke Johnson and Mark Walton are better RB's. Njoku and Herndon were good, but Winslow was on another level. I just think it's funny that everyone acts like Kaaya wasn't surrounded by talented playmakers, that's the weird revisionist history I see on here. Weird that Rosier took the same team (you could easily argue a worse team) with the same coaches and won the Coastal the year after Kaaya left.

Kaaya had one bad defense (sophomore year). His freshman year and junior years he had defenses that you could win the coastal with. No excuse for him never winning the Coastal.

But Frank Gore was! Regardless Payton still made the nfl, along with Winslow, Parrish, Sinorice Moss, Darnell Jenkins, Greg Olsen, Kevin Everett, Devin Hester, Vernon Carey, Eric Winston, Rashad Butler etc...and that's just on the offensive side of the ball! Lol
