If you were Mark Richt would you have Banda calling plays for the bowl game?

I think it would be smart to give them a chance to game plan and call the game.

I know Manny Diaz was to stay and finish what he started, but he’s leaving the program it doesn’t really do anything help us for next year.

great post. absolutely it is the right decision to have the guys who will be running the defense next year, design the game plan and call the defenses for the bowl game. perfect opportunity to get their feet wet. why wait till next year ?

Diaz could be there at the game if he wants, but not in his FORMER role in any way as DC.

Relationship between Richt and Diaz can't be that bad if he is letting him coach in bowl game. I suspect he would let Diaz may that call and I could see Diaz giving his boys Banda and Patke some play calling responsibilities.

Diaz RESIGNED. he is no longer officially the DC at the U of Miami. With that in mind, Richt could let him be on the sideline with the players, but like i wrote.... THATS ALL !

It has already been reported and Diaz even said in his Temple presser he is coaching the bowl game. Maybe it’ll change but that’s what has been official thus far.

They were playing for a Natty....huge difference.....we are playing in another crap bowl game. Diaz should not be here or at the game. Banda needs experience and this is the best chance for him....not playing UFag and losing another game to start the season
