It looks like a mistake now, but they did pony up $4 million for Richt.

Also, apparently they were willing to pay Manny $1.5 million per year to keep him.

I assume there will be some changes here. We just don’t know what changes yet

Wishful thinking on your part.

He could have said nothing. I didn’t expect him to throw anyone under the bus, but he went out of his way to show his support, and that of the entire BOT (hence the word “we” in his tweet)

The BOT are standing behind James and Richt. It’s not PR.

But I would assume he is one of the younger BOT members, who probably has not donated to the school
as some of these older members.
So to me it is conceivable that his fellow BOT members may not give a RIP about what he thinks.

The money spent is irrelevant and if anything it's an indictment on their competency. They paid 4 mil for somebody that nobody outside of Virginia wanted, and then they allowed him to be extended just for winning one of the worst divisions in college football. The sad part is that it's not an isolated incident because they allowed the same thing to happen with Golden who would still be here after next season if he wasn't fired.

I wanna believe they know what they're doing...I really do...but the track record speaks for itself. The only slight indication they've given toward change is OC and if they think that is the solution then it'll just be another mistake added to an already exhaustive list. God help us I hope this works itself out.
 
The only thing that gets the BOT idiots shook is the peer embarrassment of failure. Season ticket sales have to go to ZERO. Empty seats need to be the face of the program. Banners need to fly at basketball games and other public venues. Last time, Flake's **** bootjacks strongarmed protesters at basketball games. Public embarrassment is a great weapon against these fools and poltroons.

Vilma on the BOT? LOL doubt it and if he is, he sure as **** is not in the inner circle making business /money decisions. Vilma was part of the group selected to find our HC. He got us Richt. Where the **** is Vilma now? Sitting in a studio cashing checks not saying ****. If Vilma got any UM pride he needs to go back to the BOT/Blake, admit Richt aint getting done, and force some changes. Otherwise F him too

This. BOT cares about MONEY and REPUTATION. I repeat MONEY and REPUTATION. And to be clear not reputation of the football team, reputation of the school. Unless changes are made i wont be going to any games next season, **** this ****

Yeap. They are trying to cut off the air assault they remember so well. We need to start it up now. Fly over the campus if we have too. Word and phrase selection will be important to get coverage. Things like, “Thank Trump we have $$for this again. Fire Blake.” “We’re back! Fire both Ritchs”. Last time the one saying these thing are expensive got most press. We need that sort of stuff. Go after BOTs businesses too.

I know one dude who completely disagrees. He might be alone but his is alone at the top. That said, you are right about that being normal. What we need now is the “he has our complete support” kiss of death.
