BOT rumblings

Whether or not you're telling the truth (doubt that you are), I think it's pretty safe to say that if Richt is taking the Miami job seriously, he will have to:
  1. Add a full time OC/QB coach (Brown either dropped or goes RB coach, Jon goes away)
  2. Add a full time ST coach (Hartley to stay as TE coach & recruiting specialist)
  3. Replace Searels OL coach
  4. Make Diaz assistant head coach and HC in-waiting
1-3 are absolutely "must haves" at this point to make a difference next year. #4 would keep Diaz in place as DC for at least another 1-2 years before either Richt retires or a decent school comes after Diaz with HC dollars.
Is he telling the truth?

We were ranked #2 last season with a worse QB & OL than we currently have starting, the toast of CFB, and Richt was COY. The Panic button has been pushed and held firmly by the feeble-minded members of the base, but there will be self-correction.

Where was N'Kosi for LSU, friend?

Welp obviously not on the field where he should have been. What kinda question is that (rhetorical, please don't answer).

I don't have time for blindness and mindless followers. Sorry I fell into it. Have a happy Thanksgiving and good night, friend.

The field? He wasn't even in the state! Why wasn't he with the team (rhetorical, please don't answer)!?

I also don't have time for blind and mindless followers.

You enjoy that bird, friend.

This situation will fix itself. We were ranked #2 last season with a worse QB & OL than we currently have starting, the toast of CFB, and Richt was COY. The Panic button has been pushed and held firmly by the feeble-minded members of the base, but there will be self-correction.
I would like to think this was true but there was a little smoke and mirrors with the W/L and the rankings last year. Had those big wins against ND and VT but easily could've had losses to FSU and GT. The problems weren't as glaring during that 10-0 start, and the play wasn't as bad as this year, but we were hardly worthy of that ranking. 2 plays different last year and we're 8-2 to start and a few plays different this year and we could be 9-2. Doesn't change that there's a lot of problems.

What do you call "self correction?" Richt hiring an OC/QB coach?

I spoke with one BOT member this morning. Forced changes will be coming after the season. Richt is not going anywhere but significant changes in staff will be forced on him. He didn’t say it but I think he was talking about an offensive coordinator.
Dat u Barry Jackson?

I like your ideas. Maybe, Richt can call in some favors and get Jon a HC job at a D-3 school. Saves face and opens the way for your #1 priority.
Special teams are horrendous. Gotta be an ambitions coach somewhere out there who wants to make a name for himself on a D-I program..
Not sure what to think about Searles. Miami needs depth and quality on the OL. Is it the OL coach, or the lack of talent? I don't see a lot of depth at OL.

Disagree completely.

I heard the exact opposite. "We paid a top-10 coach to run this business and we invested as much as we can. We trust him. Our priority is the law school, not some children's game that has received two buildings in the past 5 years." I was told that they will not concern themselves with this for at least 2 years. We have new facilities, an IPF and the Adidas contract. "What more do they want?"

Miami the city is now #7 in VC money. I was told that tech is their #2 priority after the law school. They are also trying to markedly improve their engineering offering and using 'aeronautical' as the launch pad. I am in the analytics industry and spoke to some donors about degrees in the field. None had watched a game this year...

I would be willing to bet hard money that zero changes are made. They seem to care very little about it, frankly.

Yes, my son would be the first to tell you the engineering school needs an infusion of dollars. He is one of only 50 aero majors at Miami.

I don't disagree with the premise, however the problems will fix themselves. It's tough for Richt in the sense that some of these seniors, while not as talented as the guys behind them, have bought in and done everything asked of them. So you have to ride with them, especially when the youngins behind them on the depth chart stay suspended, don't practice at a high-enough level, or can't learn the playbook as true freshmen. Next year after some roster attrition, another spring and fall camps, there will be less homage to pay outgoing guys who did their part. Just watch.

You think Richt is a good coach? You are also the guy that was telling us all about how great ***gert was.

Actually, I said Taggert's coaching style tries to capitalize on having fun, and that he should be judged by his coaching resume, not what he looks or talks like. Meanwhile, you were acting like the 'spook by the door', clowning another black man's persona to align with white folk on the board calling him an uncle tom. I think Richt's record speaks for itself and don't believe he's forgotten how to coach.

Nick B is "Trustee A" in Miami article just posted.

He doesn't have significant pull wrt to overall BOT, but he can be an effective agitator.

And I understand the Soffer's aren't pleased either.

Richt's not getting fired going into 2019, but Nick B trying to fire shots across bow re: Jon Richt, IPF, and comparisons to Golden and D'No.

This trustee is doing God's work right now so can we not have his identity revealed?

Mostly attrition from graduating seniors who bought in from day one and were loyal to the program. It's tough to play immature freshman in front of these guys, especially when the freshers don't attend class, practice hard, or understand the playbook. Also, I expect a purge of sorts that will weed out some of the mental softness on the team. I know another offseason of spring and fall camps will do wonders for everyone; including injured players, emerging underclassmen, and someone like N'Kosi who needs to grow up a little more.

As far as the coaching staff, I expect a thorough evaluation and a possible purge or attrition there as well. No one knows what the offseason holds, but I like where we are and our nucleus going into the Spring. We're poised to be a much different team next season and I'll look forward to that.

If the BOT are serious about winning then Blake James gets fired. This revolving door of **** coaches won't be fixed under Blake James.

False. You said you thought he would be a good coach. WTF does race have to do with it. I don't care if he is black, white, yellow, etc. If he sucks I will say he sucks. Ya it would be nice to see a blackman win an NC, but I am not going to be gassing him up because of his color. You don't see white people sticking up for every white man just because he is also white.

I don't think my opinion is too far off from what you state here. I cannot say I would refer to this as "self correction" though.

I was told that the aeronautical program is one of the top-75 in the country. I believe that they have a wind tunnel, which sets them apart from other schools. It is supposedly an area of focus (top-3 on their agenda). They need capital to attract top professors in other engineering fields, though. People now wish to live in Miami, but salaries for engineering professors are currently exorbitant.

Medical Center seems to be "under control", though, buying that hospital was a mistake. In "the long run, the UM hospital will be a huge benefit", but in terms of management hours (i.e. Donors devoting professional time to rectifying the financial malaiase........) and sheer capital, they should not have acquired it when they did.

They do not seem too concerned about the football program. They are panicked about the law school.
