BOT rumblings

Whether or not you're telling the truth (doubt that you are), I think it's pretty safe to say that if Richt is taking the Miami job seriously, he will have to:
  1. Add a full time OC/QB coach (Brown either dropped or goes RB coach, Jon goes away)
  2. Add a full time ST coach (Hartley to stay as TE coach & recruiting specialist)
  3. Replace Searels OL coach
  4. Make Diaz assistant head coach and HC in-waiting
1-3 are absolutely "must haves" at this point to make a difference next year. #4 would keep Diaz in place as DC for at least another 1-2 years before either Richt retires or a decent school comes after Diaz with HC dollars.

Not saying 1 & 2 shouldn't be done (I think they should), but if Brown doesn't go away and Hartley moves to TE, which other coach do we drop to coach ST?

Maybe 1 of the 2 secondary coaches? Patke?

Patke 100% - LB play has been substandard this year and he adds nothing to the mix. It's possible he's a stud recruiter, but from a coaching perspective I'd be fine dropping him. I like the rest of our defensive staff.
 
I don’t know why you guys are questioning me. I never spread bs here. This was straight from a senior member of the BOT mouth. Furthermore this guy did not go to UM and he is not a football fan. He gives me his tickets about twice a season. He relies on 2 other members to make his decisions and I always throw my two cents in.

Patke has to be gone. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, offense needs the extra help

Is there a High School Corch in Georgia that idolizes Richt? Because that's who's going to be our new OC.

Well then, tell your friend to ask for Mork to be fired..... we have gone the route of sacrificial asst firings before.... does not end well !!

The only thing worse than no OC is an OC who's Richt's yesman. We'll end up being slightly worse because Richt will have to relay orders to some guy who then relays them to the players. Sure, the OC will mix up a call now and then and we'll accidently score, but mostly it'll just be a lot of delay of game penalties and false starts.
