Good win for the boys, nice little confidence builder heading into the soft portion of the acc schudule. I think our ceiling as a team is much higher when we dont play "lykes-ball"

How can you be lost when I could find them sitting on the bench for most of the game?

Coach L wanted to promote the upperclassmen early in the season and failed to integrate the freshman into the rotation.

You’re so clueless and ignorant and arrogant you actually don’t understand that PT is earned through film study, practice, and maturation. That’s why you see such a difference between game 1 and game 20 without playing 20 minutes a game. And to not understand that is pure unadulterated ignorance.

That is true with a full roster but when you only have 9 guys, you cannot afford to sit 3 guys on the bench because you want to hold on to an outdated philosophy.

Honestly, you really think Wong scored 21 points tonight because he has watched film for the last two months?

Chris Lykes just said in the post game comments that they knew he could score when he practiced with them in the Summer.

Film study helps but the freshman have too much talent to be sitting on the bench.

Wong could get buckets, but the growth in his game defensively is WHY he is seeing playing time now. Wong was lost defensively early in the season, same with the other freshmen. Just throwing guys out there to fail, and fail hard isn't going to do anything for their long term development. These guys have been around college coaches and whatnot for almost a year now, you should see some changes in both their outlook and performance. The soft part of the schedule will give these guys a chance to gain some confidence.

Our non-conference schedule was not murderous row.

I am not saying they should have been playing 30 plus minutes, there was 10 plus minutes per game early in the season for each freshmen.

You don't get better by sitting on the bench. By necessity, those guys WERE thrown out to fail when the injuries hit. They got better not because the coaching suddenly started to sink in over the last 3 weeks, but because all they really needed was a little more game action to get their feet wet without fear of getting yanked when they inevitably make a mistake.

Wong looked like a deer in the headlights early in the year, no doubt. The solution to that problem isn't to plant him on the bench, its to let him work through it by playing, especially in games that you can't possibly lose.

Had they gotten more minutes against the buy-in teams, maybe we don't drop winnable games to FSU and Pitt. The FSU game was particularly infuriating because we **** the game away solely because our guys were dead tired by the end. DJ played 40 minutes, Chris played 42, and Sam played 41. Its tough to close games out when your guys are playing that much.

They are both averaging over 15 minutes per night, and have participated in **** near every game this season. Beverly is averaging over 20 minutes per night. Walker is the guy that should be ****ed, he's not getting nearly as many minutes as Wong and Beverly.
