He’s gotta be better on the road this year.

There’s not a kicker in the country I’d take over him, but he’s missed 7 FGs total the last 2 years. 5 of those have been on the road.

Missed from 51 against FSU and 45 against NC State last year.

Missed 2 against A&M in 2022 in a game we lost by 8 (one was blocked, IIRC).

So yeah, I’m nitpicking. But we’re probably gonna need a big kick on the road this year. Again, nobody else I’d rather have. But 5 outta 7 misses on the road is simply nerves. Let’s hope they’re right between the pipes this year when we need them most.

Anyone know how this Murray dude is they brought in? He’s obviously redshirting this year then will be our kicker as a redshirt freshman in 2025. Not a bad strategy, let him learn under Borregales for a year and get his leg stronger.

In a post practice presser, Andy had high praise for Murray. I agree Murray has a great mentor. Hopefully, he has similar leg strength and accuracy.
