My Uncle Tommy will tell you Bon Jovi got him through a time when he was down on his luck. Typical blue collar jersey guy. Part of the union, worked on the docks, etc etc. But when they go on strike it gets tough. He had to rely on his wives money from the diner she worked at. She always said no matter how tough it go that they had each other and thats most important but she often cried in the night.

Met a guy that sounds exactly like your uncle at a bar in Sayreville. Gave me some really good advice. Leaned in and whispered:

"Better stand tall when they're calling you out.
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down and at the end of the day- Who says you can't go home?"

The bartender told me that she thinks he may have been in the E Street Band at some point.

I ran into him in a restaurant, a few years back, super nice guy, very affable, but he is not tall. I felt like I towered over him and I’m just average height. For some reason, I just didn’t realize he was that short, but has nothing to do with his character or personality, because he seemed super chill and super nice. Unlike other celebrities I’ve met.
