Bobo

I like Ole Miss' OC Phil Longo. Personally, I think it is time to move to a spread offense. Less pressure on the oline to do power blocking and allows for the QB to do less thinking and reading of coverages. I personally don't care how it prepares our players for the next level, it is about winning here and now at the U.

Other names to consider: Sterlin Gilbert, USF OC; David Yost, Utah State OC; Buster Faulkner, Ark State OC; and maybe Jedd Fisch. I always thought that Fisch was an excellent QB coach and a competent OC although I wouldn't call our offense explosive by any means when he was here.

If the baby Jesus is listening to my prayers Kliff Kingsbury gets fired and becomes our new OC.

Yost, Briles, or bust

I want Yost (OC and qb coach)

"During his tenure that began in the Big 12 Conference and concluded in the SEC, Yost earned the reputation as one of the nation's brightest young tutors of quarterbacks. His run included a trio of signal callers (Brad Smith, Chase Daniel and Blaine Gabbert)"

Pool together? LOL. You guys act like UM needs to search for coins under couch cushions. The money’s there. Always has been.

Everyone’s so shocked by that Barney Jackson article. The Legend’s been telling you for a hundred years that we have scratch and that we will absolutely fork it out.

Correct. The money has been there. It's Miami's reaction function that has been lacking. They've been like the guy who drove his car for 20 years and then get sticker shock when he goes to the dealership, only to find out they don't offer anything but power windows anymore.

I love Yost. I think he would be a great hire, but the fact of the matter is we don’t know how he would perform in a Power 5 conference.

Don’t get me wrong...if we hired him, I’d be elated. But my #1 is Hugh Freeze.
Yost has coached in power 5. He was at missouri for years and he was oc at oregon in 2016.

Honestly, there are a bunch of OC’s that would be great for Richt. Richt i believe can do well and really contend if he just gets a guy that likes to scheme and knows QBs. Richt knows how to run a program. Offense has just passed him up.

One thing is for sure if it's bobo and offense doesn't improve next year cmr will be out.he will have no excuses year 4 mostly his recruits even if there is bunch of transfers it's now squarely on him.

Plus let us just hope the second half of the va tech game opened cmrs eyes to which scheme suits us best.thank the Lord for small miracles when you least expect it.

@Dawgcane this is what I was referring to re: Richt

@simplycanes yea I got what you were saying the Bobo years they averaged 454 yards per game and I believe 38 pts per game, higher than years Richt called plays. What I did not understand is that Colorado Stste hired him as head coach based on his OC record and several dumb azzes neg voted that?

Am not wanting Bobo here he is a country boy and would not fit Sofla.
