Bobby Washington is fast

I was thinking yesterday, when was the last time we saw the backups in 3 consecutive games, and genuinely emptied the benches on 2 of those?
We used to be in a 20-13 tussle with teams like ball state, and had to keep the starters in until maybe the last drive. Ironically, playing in a better team has given the backups more playing time. At least so far.
Plenty more opportunities ahead for them as well.

100% on the leaner side. Didnt look up his height/weight. Then again we have kids playing off the ball like 24 who look 230-240.
yea he is lean as ****.

I ended up walking side by side with Bobby last year at an event in Miami and iw as shocked he was that tall.

Its crazy they are twins but Bobby looks more like dad who was over 6'0 at rb and Robby favors the mom. lol

Bryant is underratted and creating or playing him at the position he is currently playing is key cause that kid is balling. Bryant is in that 230-240 range for sure. He should be in Alston hip pocket because that is his trajectory moving forwayd.

He isnt. He is about 6'3. Only he, Hayes, Cisco, Chase Smith are at that height.

Hayes and Bobby look leaner or "smaller" maybe because of numbering because Hayes is like 6'4 230 and looks small as well Bobby is like 6'3 225 and Cisco is around that size but looks bigger because he has that #1. Chase Smith looks huge and he is listed at 6'2 210 which i dont think is correct lol
Smith looks like one of the bigger LBs UM currently has, I wonder if he could be a rush end like what they have Malik Bryant as. Kind of what they did with Zach McCloud.

Would be for the best

The few times I saw him playing LB this year he still looks lost

There’s a lot of young talented bodies in the LB room, if Smith once more pt I think that transition would be cool to see. He has the size and athleticism.
Always been a big fan of Chase and I usually keep an eye on the linebackers. I find myself constantly saying “dude where are you going?” with him

But yeah he looks like a defensive end out there with his size

I think Chase Smith just looks like 90% of his weight is in his chest lol.

He plays alot. Him and Alderman i think are first off the bench

Isn’t Alderman a starter on our 4-3 base? I know we run nickel half the time but it seemed to me he was out there when we’re in a 4-3.

I think Chase has risen to first off the bench in that case. It’s just a technicality I know but still pretty impressive given where he was a year ago.

yes thats what it is.

When they go nickel Porter taps out Alderman and grabs the slot.

So yea ill say Chase is first off the bench

They are in nickel majority of the time and hardly in a 4-3. I do think he is supposed to be the 3rd LB if they decide to use one

Yeah he does play a good bit. I just wonder, especially since a lot of the DEs in the pipeline are really lite I think it would be cool to see our biggest LB play rush end. He’s got the size and athleticism. But if he can secure that starting LB spot next season and not get passed up by young guys then that’s dope too.
