It's crazy to me how ineffective we are at integrating speed into offense. Can't name a single player we've signed with speed that has been utilized. These guys are wasting their time at Miami. Sub 4.5 = go somewhere else.

I want to see more Marion. We have Spafford next year that can fly. Pringle is no CJ but he’s got wheels. Put up or shut up time for Dawson

Pringle ran a 10.5. CJ ran a 10.4. Pringle has vision, hips, a little power to break arm tackles, and still can run fast.

I like Marion for straight line speed BUT he isn’t a good one on one WR.

I knew he had speed but didn’t realize Pringle was that fast. Supports the point we have guys with speed just aren’t using them enough. I don’t recall throwing a bomb to Marion once like we used Dorsett, and he had the same straight line speed, lack of route running finesse.

Marion's had multiple fade opportunities. He doesn't get separation, so I'm not sure he is elite fast. SMU (pi no call), UL(int), ND(pi). Moore's only fade: 39 TD on an underthrown pass vs USF with the DB in his face at the catch. We have not thrown a fade to Moore since USF that I recall.

Pure Straight line speed literally doesn’t matter at all at RB. I keep saying this. Quickness and acceleration is what matters. What your speed is after 20 yards is incredibly unimportant.

It just happens that guys that have great burst and acceleration are also fast in long speed. But ALSO unless you are extremely quick too then you also need to have some size too. Pure speed without the power if you lack lateral agility also isn’t very important…

yea based on their Junior times very comparable (Pringle didnt run as he enrolled early and CJ clocked 10.25 his senior year, Pringle probably would be in same range). To me anything under 10.6 is different so Pringle is legit AF..

The kid will end up being the elite rb we been wanting . He runs big too for his , speed and vision to go with it . Reminds of Duke before Duke got heavy . IMO Pringle needs to get the ball like 10 to 15 times a game . Like to see a lb or safety try to cower him out the back field on a wheel fly

Ya this reminds me, I wonder if Lyle isn't a little too bulked up right now
He don’t have the vision Duke or Pringle has . Thats his issue . Fletcher same . If the hole is their 8 yards a pop but if not it’s negative . Pringle sees the holes

The opinions on Lyle’s performance this season r funny. It was obvious last season that his vision was not all that. Idk what he was doing in fall or spring camp to get those reports. With the reports that came out I thought his visioned made an improvement, but it did not. Now that doesn’t mean he can’t be good, bc it is something u can get better at, but at a certain point instincts and natural vision is what makes u elite.

Marion isn’t a great receiver but I think him and Tony Johnson have proved that you don’t need to be to produce in Dawsons offense

Marion had multiple big catches against SMU and one got called back

The plays are there for these guys to make

CJ is having an interesting year. 7 ypc yet no games with more than 8 carries. Did nothing against us and has struggled in all of their losses (TCU, Baylor, and Wake).

Stanford and Clemson are the two best performances so far.

Stanford: 5 rushes, 96 yards (87 LNG), 1 TD; 2 catches, 42 yards (42 LNG), 1 TD.

Clemson: 6 rushes, 59 yards (30 LNG), 1 TD; 4 catches, 40 yards (25 LNG).

I was pretty confident in him having a Brashard Smith esque year but the UCLA transfer, a senior, TJ Harden has been their feature back. The third string freshman running back had three touchdowns against BC last week, and scored against Clemson too; so it remains to be seen whether CJ will ever sharpen his game to match his speed.

Hasn’t even been an effective return man whereas at Miami he at least had multiple 25+ yards KORs.

SMU is averaging 45 yards less running the ball this season compared to their rushing yards per game last year.

I missed Mario making catches! No wonder we lost. Dude is SLOW!
