Blissett now a DE

I’m still scratching my head at posters submitting JPhillips name into the 2021 NFL draft already and he hasn’t played football in 2 years! Lol.

Well I’ll double down on that Hot Take..if Phillips played so well that he enters the draft...our defense was top 5 in the country. I don’t see a kid like that leaving unless he’s a first rounder. So yeah..our defense was the **** and he, GR15 and Roche all went ape$hit at DE rushing the passer.. I’ll take that!

Blissett will now not play another season hope he doesn’t transfer out bc of this hope he just keeps his head down keeps grinding and adds good weight so he can play DT. I don’t believe he fits as a DE in a 4-3 maybe 3-4

Silly. We had less depth on our '87 team and maybe our other NC teams at DL than we have now? Why did we have to move tiny Greg Mark into the interior DL when ****leo was declared uneligible?

wow he won’t play another season hun. Maybe your right because Harvey was an animal in the bowl game against Louisiana tech And you watched him practice against the first offense on scout team last year. Maybe the staff knows something we don’t. Let’s see how the spring pans out cuz the kid had high level offers out of Highschool

I mean behind those 3 the rest are relatively unknown.

I remember us hyping up the dline last year, that’s all I’m saying. I like this d lines projection a lot better than last years though

For one..I wasn’t one who was hyping the line last season because I realized what we had to replace on the interior on G will..this year I also realize tho 2 of our top 3 guys haven’t made plays, I realize the type of talent they offer off the bench..we aren’t asking them to play starter snap..tho I believe will be receiving starter type snaps by the middle of the season

Not saying you were but the spring reports from last year were eerily similar. I think we’re on the same page though in terms the talent is there but the experience is not
 
So does nobody else think he lost bad weight and is primed to gain pure muscle mass over the next 2-3 years? Everyone thinks he’s at 257 but there’s no way he ends up at 275 or even 290?

we don’t NEED him to contribute this year, whether at DE or DT. Let him build his body up this year and see where he stands. I think he’s going to be a big-time piece come next season.

If he ends up being a 275lb SDE I think thats probably his best position for us. Just looking at pictures I think he cut a good amount of bad weight and he looks really good at his current weight.
