So you trust dudes that haven’t done it thus far ok got it. It’s why we got smashed by FIU and LA Tech but ok keep on.

Dudes ain’t did a thing at the college level but you trust them to hold it down. 😂😂😂

Harvey in particular receives a lot of hype. Let's see if it's warranted.

If he's healthy, I put faith in the former #1 player in his class being ready to play. There's nothing not smart about that. He's the freakiest athlete we have at DE, including Rousseau. And he flashed big time at UCLA as a true frosh.

We have a gang of dudes that are hyped and ain’t did a thing yet. We wouldn’t be going 6-7 if we had the talent we seem to think we have. Imo

Hopefully this year is different. Only person that has shown me something is Greg. The rest are a bunch of question marks or we hope the light comes on

Yeaaa..u do realize that’s called depth..I could see if we had no talent..the number 1 rated player from a few years ago who played well at UCLA as a young player. And Harvey who has all the tools athletically for it translate into production at this level..would u rather have two more talented players as your depth guys or a guy like Scott oatchan who sure played some snaps but doesn’t have the same potential?

Agreed. Roche and Rousseau are proven while others have only flashed. It's a very young unit overall. All of this talk about 'best DL in da nation dawg' is wildly premature.

You don't forget how to play ball dawg. It's like riding a bike. Sure there will be some rust but if your body is in shape the mental part never goes away. The intangibles never go away.

Depth to me isn’t just another body. You can have numbers but it doesn’t mean they are good. Depth is when you can put the next guy in and there’s really no drop off. The machine keeps rolling you know like back when miami was really good

I don’t get what your saying then..you said they aren’t proven, true. But you can’t say they don’t have talent. Phillips was the number for overall recruit. Harvey was a 4star recruit and has good athletic profile...what’s there not to like about having those two as backups ?
 
After rummaging through the comments I revisited Blissett’s film and he looked good there. At that time he was weighing 271lbs which is significantly more than what he is now. Moreover he didn’t look out of place as far as speed and quickness. Although the competition he played against isn’t nothing to write home about he dominated like he should have. I wonder if this is something they experimented with Him during the season on scout team last year ? Diaz made mention of him several times about playing in the bowl game but it never materialized

Kid probably couldn't put on the necessary weight so the coaches are looking for a more athletic version of patchan to play on run downs in case the young DEs aren't ready to set the edge on the strong side next year. I'm cool with that

still have strong numbers at DT and we should be able to recruit the position well this year with telling kids "we took no DTs last year"
