Blissett now a DE

Translation: Blisset will not be getting snaps

He was a 3rd team DT this year behind Ford, Nesta, Miller and Holley.
This puts him at 3rd team DE behind GR, Roche, Phillips and Harvey.
It's the same difference except next season we lose at least two, maybe three of those guys...and then he's in the two deep if not starting.
This is a good move IMO.

Blissett has apparently moved to DE, he's 257 lbs. Not really sure I like this, I'd rather build good depth at DT which is harder to build and recruit. Plus the DE's are stacked af so it will be hard for him to contribute there. Maybe he'll be a situational DT on passing plays but I'd still rather just have him be a normal DT.

We are seriously under recruiting DT then....Is the Moise talks officially hopeless and dead? This is one position that you really have to throw numbers at too.

theoretically
after this year we can be down Roche, Greg, and Phillips
so it may not be a bad idea to get him ready as a strong side DE

This.
Roche is gone no matter what. If Rousseau has another double digit sack season, he's gone too. I doubt Phillips would be gone but it's a possibility. Blissett isn't getting in the rotation at tackle or end this year but there's a good chance he'll get snaps at end next year.

Need to take 3 DTS almost every cycle

Ya...Or at least 10 over every 4 year span. There should have been a backup plan for Moise as soon as grades popped op on radar...W.Neal, one of the Tampa kids, etc, etc.

I guess he's having trouble with weight.

I agree, however, they had him lose weight to get down to that so it doesn't sound like it was an issue gaining weight. I should have pointed that out.

It was in the 247 VIP practice notes

Might be one of those things where he's stuck at 270-275 and in this scheme, that's nowhere. Options are to slim down or put on bad weight at that point.

If he did move to end this Will be offset by Elijah Roberts eventually becoming that athletic 3 technique which has proven vital in this defense

Now this....makes sense. If Phillips declares we're borderline in trouble depth-wise at DE. Badly need him to stick around after Greg/Roche leaves. But if he winds up starting over Roche or splitting snaps w/him he's most likely a goner after this year.

You think he's better at DE than the Three Williams Kids?
