Blissett done with football???

Anyway, this thread is about Blisset and his sad situation, not some crazy theory or people making it about themselves. Blisset mentioned head injuries nothing about a COVID murmur, no need to embellish his own story by someone else.

I don’t know anything about his medical history, only what was written in the newspapers. Usually, that kind of stuff is mentioned in newspapers and in the media. There’s no shortage of it nowadays. But if you say that’s what happened I’ll take your word for it I guess. I’m just surprised that this is mentioned nowhere else for someone that is prominent.

But why are you discussing a friends medical history on a public message board? Is it that important to you that you reveal private personal medical details about one of your friends. Did you get permission to discuss his medical history?

There’s something wrong with you.
You win bruh. Go with god.

You win bruh. Go with god.
I honestly wish you the best and I truly hope you’re doing ok.

There is no need to elevate message board beefs and let them go overboard. I’m honestly not trying to win anything, and I didn’t win anything at all, I was just looking for a some clarity, but it’s best to leave this topic alone.

You go with God as well.

Come on, gentlemen, let's all settle down and aim for the middle of the road on this issue.

I understand both sides. Some people see a death that is attributed to Covid, then they find out that the person was in a car accident, and the next thing we know, it's all a gigantic government conspiracy to fake the pandemic statistics. Regardless of whether the person in the car accident had Covid and was driving to the hospital and suddenly struggled to breathe, thus wrecking his car.

I've said this in other threads, the issue of Covid leading to death, either directly or indirectly, has become far too politicized. That is not an indictment of either dsdd or OCCC. It's just a reflection of how these discussions go off track.

The initial statement by dsdd was very general. Covid led to Carlos Joseph's death. I understood that basic statement, and did not inquire further. I knew the press reports said "brain aneurysm", but I also know that dsdd is friends with a bunch of former players, so I did not ask questions.

And, in a fair question (even if the presentation of the question led dsdd to fire off a response), the issue was raised because of the conflict between the media reports and the statements made on this board.

So, in all fairness, dsdd provided additional details to establish and prove his actual knowledge of the situation was far more comprehensive than the media reports.

My prayers go out to Carlos Joseph and his family. No matter what, his premature death is tragic and sad, and it is made worse by the circumstances of Covid, because it seems like he contracted Covid in the early days of the pandemic, when we ALL were operating on incomplete and/or misleading medical advice.

I wouldn't wish Covid on my worst enemy. I pray for the day when all of this is over. Maybe this is, or is not, the worst crisis the world has ever faced, but I'm also not going to pretend that it isn't serious and having a huge impact on us all. It's not a hoax. It will take time, but just as the CDC revised the numbers after H1N1/swine flu, I think we will eventually come to realize that Covid has claimed more lives than we currently believe.

God bless. And Go Canes!

My response had nothing to do with politics, just accuracy. You can take that politics stuff and throw it out the window - that’s not what I’m interested in - you brought up politics. And I’m way more concerned about claims being made about the subject of the current thread.

The discussion was over but you had to resurrect it.

I did not say that YOUR post was about politics, just that many people interpret Covid stats that way.

All is good.

After reading more about Vincent Jackson and his family donating his brain to CTE research I applaud Blissett for making a decision that was right for his life. Not all lives and not all players, but right for his life. Every person/player needs to assess what is right for him or her.
Phillips decided after having received multiple concussions that he needed and wanted to play again. Good for him and lets wish him the best.
Blissett decided that the medical evidence warrants him no longer playing. Good for him and hopefully he receives a degree and does well in life.

But unless we are just useless haters and actually believe that these humans are simply on earth to entertain us, let us wish all the best in whatever is right for them.

Idk but in a decently run world probably, but this is the NCAA we are talking about.
I’m asking cause I think I remember that someone responded on how this is one of the ways Bama tries to sign more than 25.
