Blast away, I'll go ahead and say it...

Butch lost to Indiana and is as an awful in game coach

That's about a ****-poor comparison - Saban lost to Monroe - it happens.

Butch's early years at UM were rough - especially with what he faced - but one thing you can say about his teams - they played like crazy men - a JJ yell.

They had attitude. They - really came down on each other hard - and finally in 2000 it clicked with all the pieces in place - and we didn't even need a coach for that team in 2001.

Go to practices circa 95-2000 and you'd think it was a War Zone....@Brooklyndee if I'm lieing....
Play tough....Practice like Goons

Take 31 schollies from any incoming CFB coach (including 11 immediately) and a yr of No TV or Bowl over the course of your 1st 3-4yrs...and see how great your gameday coaching is remembered for....

It's a really good point.

Blah blah blah. How many times lately has Saban lost to Monroe type teams? Butch is no Saban. Tired of hearing about the mythical coach Butch coming to save the day. Let it go!

Funny how Saban has said Numerous times....(and a friend of mine (Chef) who worked the SEC Coaches Gala in Destin Fl...and talked to Saban at length, can attest) that he (Saban) coaches with a Butch Davis Philosophy.....Saban loves Butch....

Imagine if there was a CIS back on September 10, 2000.
Butch and our #4 Canes just lost to #15 Washington.
His record as HC at UM stood at 33-17, and won only 1 of his last 5 games against top-15 teams.

Special teams was fine in 2016. Last year sucked and this year is off to the same start. All starts with Feagles.
The blocking for Feagles needs to improve as well. His first shank would have been blocked had it gone straight.

There were message boards back then. Where were you?

There were banners flown for Butch.

Then Butch Davis the football God put together the greatest team that college football has ever seen.

Yeah....kinda funny that the last time we were Relevant (2004)...coincides with the last of Butch's kids leaving....
What a F-ing coincidence I tell ya....

Haha, I was around.
I set you up nicely there, didn't I?

If Rosier knows the O, but absolutely can not execute it, why not change the O to where a talented guy can run it? It means nothing if the O sucks with the guy that knows every **** thing about it. And if, IF poor QB play is holding back your precious O, maybe try a different QB! If that QB sucks in your O, well, maybe it's time to look in the mirror and see where the problem really lies.

I mean I’ve heard it said several times that Richt values the fact Rosier knows what to do and why. However, I totally agree with you. He has also said Jarren is probably the most accurate passer on the team. Why TF Malik is still the starter if he knows what to do but can’t actually do it is beyond me.

Yesterday felt a bit like 2000, had Kenny Kelly been gifted the starting spot.

If you follow his career path and the things that have happened regarding him, then you know that the BS which happened at UNC is what tanked his career. He has been exonerated from all of it, but school's are too frightened to give him a go. You have so many schools breaking rules and they arbitrarily draw the line with Butch, but not with a slew of other coaches caught in shenanigans.

Answer this honestly - do you believe Butch would not have us in a better position for the team and tonight's game had he been hired instead or Mark? If you're not just trying to defend your position and answer honestly, we all know that the team would've been ready for tonight's game as opposed to the debacle we endured tonight.

Was Butch no the HC for this game?
