Easy to **** on the playoff committee, and rightfully so. They have multiple issues while weekly moving the goal post. But if I’m on the committee, I’m telling Miami to look in-house at the folks in Charlotte. Your bigger argument is with them, not us.
Fact, the ACC is a **** conference deserving of only one slot. Yes, Miami is clearly the conference’s best team, but it can’t even get to the championship game. Instead, you have a mediocre Virginia team that lost to NC State in what was a non-conference game (you can’t make this nonsense up) against 7-5 Duke. You have a 5-way tie for the second spot & your system allows for the worst of the five to play for the championship. Really?
Again, not in any way defending the committee. But they have an easy & appropriate out: “Hey Miami, get back to us when your conference gets it **** together. For now, we’re stuck with Virginia or will welcome another P5 program rather than be burdened with 5-loss Duke.

It's a fair point but it's not an easy or appropriate out for the committee. They have as clear of an apples-to-apples resume comparison as they will ever have and they are ignoring their own criteria to fit an agenda.

The ACC should be bending over backwards sending in tape of the SMU game to the committee, and broadcasting on social media that the officials ruined the game, and it shouldn't be held against Miami.

The ACC should be doing the same regarding 3 horrific calls (2 of which were reviewed on replay) that gave VT 4th down conversions, thus wasting more time, and preventing Miami from blowing the game wide open.

The ACC does none of this. The league refuses to advocate for Miami (or itself, really).

It's total garbage of a conference. I'm not on social media, but someone should be making this point. The SEC would absolutely be doing this sort of advocacy for a member team that ended up similarly situated.

Stop all this begging to be in the college football playoffs. If we don’t make in, this team has nobody to blame but themselves!!! We lost to two teams we had no buisness losing to. For the second straight year we’re begging to be in the playoffs bc we didn’t take care of our business on the field and lost to lesser teams. Stop blaming the ACC, ESPN and whoever else you want to blame that didn’t put on a uniform. At the end of the day it’s the University of Miami fault they’re not in the college football playoffs if they don’t get in. Enough of the begging, take responsibility for the inexcusable losses, beat the teams you supposed to beat and we won’t be begging at the end of every year!

Clemson tried to get out and it was basically impossible. Is the same true of us? Has anyone said what it would take to get out?

The ACC is a joke..they give us an easy path to 7 or 8 conference wins every year (we're pretty much double digit favorites in almost every ACC game).

It's our fault we don't breeze through the conference.

??? The networks ( media partners) aren’t ready for the next conference expansion move - yet. Once they are you will see movement.

Of course, but there's a bigger picture. The conference needs to be fighting a war, but it refuses to do so.

I'm more convinced by the day that the ACC isn't going to be a league in 2030, and isn't particularly trying to stay relevant.

If head to head against ND isn’t enough then the whole system is bogus. They shouldn’t be making special considerations for a non conference team.

No, it’s ’hey Miami, get back to us when you stop losing a few games every year to teams you should throttle”.

The conference has terrible rules and tiebreakers but we all knew them and they are following them. The CFP is just ducking and dodging precedent and their own criteria to get their desired teams in. F that.

Which is fine but it doesn’t mean we can’t point out the highly irrational rankings and the fact that the ACC doesn’t understand how to protect its elite teams. Even worse, the fact that the ACC appears intent on sabotaging our chances with its BS refereeing. I mean what conference wouldn’t have a clause to have the overall best ranked team advance to a conference championship game when there are multiple teams with the same conference record. We are going to miss the playoffs because of a bull**** late hit call. That’s insane

Completely different argument and issue than the CFP ranking. The CFP doesn’t get to punt their responsibility to a conference.

The CFP needs to do their jobs by their stated and published criteria. Bullet point 1 isn’t far off, NDs SOS is propped up from their losses to us and TAMU, and 2 and 3 are pretty black and white.
