Idk. I do know that we have better talent than at least 95% of power 5 football. Better talent than UNC, GT, VT, Minnesota, SMU, Baylor, UCF, etc. Miami has the talent! Don’t be fooled by what you’re seeing out the field. Cager comes to Miami and looks soft and subpar. He Goes to UGA and looks like the second coming of Megatron. Pope or Payton goes to any other school, and they’ll be the best thing they’ve got. At Miami we play them behind Wiggins and Harley. Smh.

Top 3 is a facade, we havent won a meaningful game yet, MISS ME WITH THEM STATS! Why do we mostly have Freshman and sophmores on the field? Have we not brought in transfers every year? Why are most of our DBs 3-4 yr starters?? Nobody being developed behind them? Why on earth is RAGU getting snaps? You cant defend this madness STOP!

In 2009 we went 9-4 can you tell me who we beat and how we beat them? Exactly shut up no one cares. We won games in 2017 we shouldn’t have but the 10 wins is talked about like we won a national championship and Richt is some god.

Dude, playcalling and scheme are not part of your analysis apparently ! Our redzone offense struggles are mostly because of Enos and his lack of playcalling! Lack of player talent is a issue for sure, but coaching talent is as well!

If UCF can move football all over the **** field why can’t Miami? UCF talent is not on our level!
UCF has a better scheme to match players abilities while we are forcing a square peg into a round hole!

Your a ******* idiot if you believe that and your either one of the Hecht moles who pushed for the hiring of the extremely unqualified Diaz or just blind and stupid! Diaz was given full reign of the recruting on the D side of the ball and staff which is why recruting was so abysmal on that side of the ball unlike the offense which atleast recruited at an almost elite level under richt. Now Diaz’s lack of recruting has infected the whole team! Have you seen our recruting rankings recently sport? It’s a joke! So go Fvck back to your Hecht job because not a living soul in this fan base or board believes it’s talent problem, it’s a lack of coaching problem that has been in place for a very, very longtime with Diaz just newest member of coaches that never should have been named head coaches at Miami. Gtfoh!

Defense was ranked 5th last year and currently 15th.

Offense starts a true freshman two star at LT, two star redshirt soph at C and true freshman 3 star at RG. Yep offense definitely killed it at recruiting.

Check the recruiting rankings Sport! All of our top blue chippers were on the O side of the ball and if we ever by a miracle of god move to an actual modern offense which is the spread, all those blue chip athletes that richt and his O coaches recruited would kill it here. But we’re stuck with spread players trying to be fit into a pro set offense from the 80s/90s. Talk about square peg round hole! And Diaz’s one and only top 5 defense was all smoke and mirrors single handedly done by one dominant D tackle in Willis. Check out or defenses 3rd down conversion rate during last years “top 5 defense”. I’ll spoil the surprise, we were at the bottom, top 5 and all the TFLs In the world don’t mean **** if you give up every third down! And the oline starting 2/3 star freshman is your gawd dumb@$$ Diaz’s fault because there’s plenty of blue chip olineman on that team that clearly weren’t coached up! Case in point reed who has transferred because they for some reason Diaz thinks our 2 and 3 star Diaz specials are better then him. Reed will most likely transfer to an SEC school since they all wanted him and absolutely blow up and will be sitting here asking Diaz why the Fvck you didn’t play him! Wake the **** up dude, take the pill and get out the matrix. Diaz is a bum and the worst recruiting head coach and game day HC we have ever had here. He can’t win this year with the most talented team he’ll ever have here which is over 50% BC ratio btw. What makes you think he’s gonna be able to win with less and less talented teams moving forward? Lol

I did. I see it differently. You answered the literal question but the premise of the post you responded to was regarding development is not an issue, and your mentioning vernon doesn’t address that, because his issue wasn’t development, it was attitude and effort. That’s the point I was making.

I happen to think the issues have been myriad - evaluations, recruiting, depth, development, S&C, scheme, game planning, play calling, in-game adjustments, motivation, culture....

We’ve had terrible corches for 19 years.

It addresses his literal question and "development not being an issue" is also BS. Look at Gus Edwards. I guess Rutgers just develops guys so much better than us.

There are plenty of very talented guys that ended up not even being drafted because they were corched up at Miami.

I am agreeing that development is an issue. I am pointing out that vernon is not a good example of that point. Not sure how to make it any clearer.

Olivier Vernon only played six games as an upperclassman before going pro and still had 21 TFLs and 9 sacks in his career.

He got drafted in the 3rd round.

Wtf are you talking about.

Oh and Gus Edwards didn’t underachieve here, he couldn’t get reps because there were better players in front of him.
