Blame talent not coaching

LOL at the mongoloids who continue pointing to one or two plays we missed in our losses and how that proves it’s not a coaching issue.

They never discuss all the drops CMU had or all the errors all of our other opponents made including everyone’s new hero, Mullet, starting the clearly inferior QB, Franks.

The problem isn’t that we’ve missed a kick here or there. The problem is we’ve consistently played like **** and needed kicks to beat terrible teams all year.

Watch the fcking games and quit looking for reasons to be the faqqy contrarian fake high pitched voice of reason. If you watch this team every week and compare it to similarly situated teams that recruit at our level and think we’re well coached and prepared, then please don’t reproduce. People like you are obliterating the gene pool.
Facts

We are much better then what we are seeing and our guys are regressing right in front of our eyes

or definitely coming out of the shallow end of the gene pool ... lol

@Canesfan0024 almost every game has had some concerning things that point directly to coaching not talent. The first one is that all the games, no matter the quality of the opponent have been close. We are good enough to trade blows with a team like UF and be in a position to win but a week later come out completely flat against an inferior UNC off of a bye week, or almost lose at home to CMU. We play up and down to our competition, that is a sign of weak coaching. We have personnel issues, whether its not identifying that GR15 is a beast that needs to start, leaving Zion on an island as he gets worked time and time again, or GT running to the outside at our striker and us not adjusting. Missed tackles, these kids on defense are young but they obviously haven't been taught to tackle correctly. I mentioned in the first point, how many times are we going to have to come back from a deficit because we came out flat against a team?

Now lets talk about our talent for a second. Have you considered that part of the reason this scout said what he said is because these kids just aren't getting the proper coaching here? We have recruited way way better than everyone we have played thus far except for UF. We have players that were wanted by programs way superior to ours. How can you just ignore all these signs that this is on the coaching. Sure we have depth problems, most of the programs have depth problems except for the very best ones. We aren't even close to teams that are dominating such as Bama or Clemson, but you mean to tell me that we aren't as good as CMU or our Coastal opponents? We got beat by a freshman VT QB, a brand new staff and freshman QB at UNC, and a GT with a new staff that previously was recruited to run the triple option. Its embarrassingly obvious that this is a coaching deficiency.
Here’s the thing, I never said any of these coaches are good. But I’m not judging off a couple games. The year after Richt left Kirby almost lost to Nichols St at home 24-26. The next year they were in the championship game. I played college sports. I know what culture means and going through a transition feels like. We suffered some demoralizing losses to start the year and maybe some of these kids are sleep walking through these games, clearly Ivey did against GT.

What’s the point of creating negative energy around this program? You think it’s going to get the head coach fired in 1 year?

Honestly with Richt I feel we'd be no worse than 6-2 and likely better. I really wish he'd have hired a good OC/QB coach from the beginning. He looked so much better at the beginning, like really rejuvenated. Him insisting on doing it himself really wore him out.
We were projected to win every game last year and went 7-6 lololol

Hey *******, Mike Leach took over a team who was one of the worst in the country for decades and made them relevant in the pac 12. Say what you want but he has FIU talent and gives Cristobal a run for his money with an NFL qb on roster. GTFOH, with our talent isn't enough.. We hold the highest talent in the coastal by far and can't even win big against a central Michigan who is terrible. Besides, our blue chip ratio exceeds 55%
Mike Leach who’s an awesome coach went 3-9 in his first and 3rd year. What an awesome comparison you are a genius. I mean you can’t possibly be that retarded.

Let me state before the majority of this board gets their panties in a bunch, I have no idea how Miami will be under Diaz. But I love how fans are torching him but fail to realize the talent is severely lacking this year.

As of now scouts have 1 player currently who could go as high as the 4th round DeeJay. The two linebackers are late day 3 picks. As far as the Juniors on this team. Garvin and Bandy are boarderline day 3 to undrafted right now. Jeff Thomas undrafted.

Why can’t Miami fans be patient. Are they really stuck in the early 2000’s. Did Richt give you false hope cause of a unicorn year filled with mass turnovers forced and lucky bounces. The majority of the talent we have are pups. They need time to get in a real strength and conditioning program. 6 months for the new guy wasn’t going to make a huge difference although some of the transformation are noticeable, give him another year.

Be a part of the solution and not the problem. Quit bi***ing and support the team and don’t hang on every single word someone makes. It’s petty. This was a rebuilding year no matter what way you slice it from the day we started Zion at left tackle. I’m excited for the future and next years team.

There is no excuse next year, plain and simple. Go Canes.
So let me ask you this. Last year when we were losing to UVA and everybody else, did you think it was talent? Did you think that if only we had better players our amazing gameplanning would have won the day?

I only ask because most of us thought it was about improper use of our assets. Did we think we had the best team? No. Did we think our team was more than adequate to take out the likes of BC? We sure did.

So the question is, what do you think changes talent-wise? Because we sure as sht had the talent to win 10 games last year and I fail to see how we lost that much talent.

Please, enlighten me.

We have very little senior talent on this roster. We have an unremarkable amount of junior talent. The majority of our talent are sophomores, redshirt freshmen, or true freshmen.

The college team talent composite had us 17 preseason iirc, but I bet if you only looked at draft eligible talent, we wouldn't be in the top 30. Teams are led by their draft eligible talent.
I don’t know, because the draft prospects are mainly based on of production vs talent.

Kirby was new to the program. Diaz sold himself and was sold by our AD as the right choice because we had the talent to win now and he offered continuity, or we just gonna ignore that now? Those are their words not mine. You are now gonna talk about culture when the guy at the helm was here for 3 as the DC, yet you are using examples of players he recruited nonetheless. Also, the issue here is that it’s apparent as **** that Diaz is way in over his head, and his lack of experience is going to make it so much harder for him to attract the right assistants. Kirby had years and years of elite defenses. Manny has yet to field an elite defense, he has had some above average defenses but that’s it.
Your final paragraph is just lame. The point of this site is to follow and comment on the football program. A bunch of us knew this hire was a mistake and it’s playing out exactly like that. We are frustrated and tired of the losing. We knew that this last hire was extremely important because Richt despite his burn out left the program in a much better state both on and off the field. Unfortunately we did even conduct a search, we hired the first person our AS saw at Hecht, a guy that just took his first HC job earlier that week at Temple. And you wonder why people are negative?

We didn’t field elite defenses? We had a top 5 defense last year. We currently are top 15. Sheesh you sound ignorant.

And I know you cuck suckers like to deep throat Richt but he was no better than Golden here. If only you knew what the support was from President Shalala to what we currently have have. Plus the sanctions that we had destroyed this program and Richt came in at the right time as we were heading towards stability. In year 3 the dude went 7-6 including bookend blowouts that set this program back to the Stone Age. Hence why his recruiting class was ranked 39th.

PS. The IPF already had renderings before he became our coach contrary to popular belief

We have more talent than 3 of our 4 losses. Coaches deserve some of the blame at the very least.
Yes we should be undefeated, but Bama or ohio st or clemson would beat the **** out of us. We are miles from the top tier programs.

Nobody is deep throating Richt, I know you predisposed to it but stop getting *** about everything. He outright recruited well enough and upgraded our facilities to set us up to dominate the ****tiest P5 division in the country. Compared to Randy and Golden, that was a major upgrade.
Lastly, we did not have an elite defense at any time under Diaz. You stating that shows how delusional you really are here. We dominated teams we had major talent advantages against and struggled against teams that had equal or more talent. If any of those defenses were elite then what do you call what we had in the early 2000s? We had above average defenses that feasted against sub par teams.

What’s dumb about the lack of talent? Those aren’t my takes, that’s a professional scouts take. I get it you’re mad we don’t win every game and if we don’t you act like a brat. Open your eyes or tell me who are these kids that are studs we have.
You don't need to have "studs" to beat VT and UNC and not to struggle against Central Michigan. If you don't get that I don't want to keep arguing with someone like you. Sorry.

No need to argue and yes you do need playmakers to win ball games I know it’s a weird concept to understand.

Say less, homie. You can’t speak the truth too much, then you become apart of the angry mob that wants Miami to fail. Lol. Get this Jim Jones cult like chit out of my face! Chise is 100000000000000% right. Manny w the narrative that they were one or two plays away from being 6-1 before heading in to the Pitt game got me so upset!

CMU dropped an ungodly amount of wide open passes to extend drives. Perkins missed a wide open WR in the end zone to take the lead. UF gave us 4 gifts. Pitt kept stubbing their toe in the red zone.

The only sound victory we had was against BCU, and we struggled for a half against them.

We beat UVA b/c we out talented them. We just beat Pitt b/c we out talented them. We beat CMU b/c we out talented them. We did not beat these aforementioned teams b/c we out coached them; NOPE! We have kept EVERY single opponent in the game due to a lack of coaching, including Florida.

We are this close to being 1-7, against one of the easiest football schedules in America. But hey, at least we beat 3 P5 teams in a reason, right?
