He's not that spineless. There were plenty of factions that wanted Butch and Cristobal and he didn't give them a serious thought. He may be incompetent but it appears he didn't get bullied into doing something he didn't want to do.

You have to convince the student body to protest the hire which isn’t going to happen although it would be a beautiful thing to behold from a program that has made hires like this for almost 2 decades. Vols were able to push a Schiano pedo-state relationship narrative so unless you can link Manny to something like crablegs and #metoo then I seriously doubt that you are going to gain any traction but I wish you well in all your efforts.

Note: I am not suggesting that someone attempt to ruin Manny’s career and life. I merely threw those things out as examples of just how impossible it would likely be to pull off.
