Blake has been night and day since the troll has left. Not mad at the move at all. He's been getting things done to benefit our program.

IPF being built. Certain coaches getting raises. Corches who won’t recruit being shown the door. I’m good with it. Like the direction we’re going

Seems the general consensus is that this was a good move. I wholeheartedly agree, but not strictly from the perspective of the performance and changes we've seen. Blake James is a Miami Hurricane. His relationship to the program dates to 1995, when things were dreary. He's young, he's hungry, and he understands The U, the city, and the relationship between the two. He is also stability for the program. In a way that we've never really had properly, and in the best manner since Paul Dee, who was a mixed bag at best. He's not some douchebag Hocutt (who was an absolutely atrocious hire) or Eichorst, who just used Miami to get a better-paying gig. James gets it, has proven as much, and the Board trusts him at this point. Securing him is a great move for the program as a whole.

He has a couple major challenges in the next few years:

1) How patient will he be with Gino?
2) Can he put up the money to keep the key assistants (survey says so far, so good)?
3) How much time does Larranaga have left, and what happens there? The basketball program has FINALLY gained some traction and the next hire is absolutely crucial.

He's ****ed up baseball, but football and basketball are more important.
This is stupid ******* logic. Even if you think basketball and football are more important, a successful baseball program is more profitable and better for the school overall.
