Blackout?

considering half the stadium has chinstraps, I feel like black shirts are in the wardrobe somewhere.

University of Miami: Blackout against VT! Wear black to support the U! Go 'Canes!!

Miami Fan: ***** this marketing crap, I'm gonna wear orange!

Same Fan: ***** the Miami-hating media always making Miami's fanbase seem crappy and fairweather. Biased ********!!

Come in here expecting people to be pumped that the university is doing something to raise media coverage and encite the attention of recruits, but instead there’s a bunch of suppository using **** nuggets complaining about yet another thing

We’ll win a national championship and this same group will be complaining how they don’t want the ring because we weren’t wearing the right color jock strap

The moping from some of these turds is unbelievable. Their lives must be miserable.

Wearing my orange, if they want me to wear black and have it be Canes affiliated they need to provide.

Also can the university try n have sell outs first before asking this?

I don't get comments like this.
You can get a Canes shirt for less than 20 bucks.
Is it really that big of a deal?

F this blatant cash grab. I will be wearing my orange Reggie Wayne throwback in section 143 against ND. These gimmicks are purely for extracting $ from the fans. Adidas can eat a D here. So can the AD if they're trying to manufacture a reason to move merch

***** your cynicism. This is for the team. For the players. What do you think the squad on the field wants from the fans? Is it that hard to abide?

Some people seem to walk around life constantly offended

On the bright side, if we get killed, at least we dressed for the occasion. :monkey-serious:

Most teams give out free shirts up entry, when they trying to do a color-out

this.. not like the University can't spend some $$$ on getting some shirts out there..

go CANES!

This cūmstain ends his post with “go Canes”. The irony escapes his simple mind.

Fūck you shītbag. I’ll bet you’re one of those sideline bandwagon fakkit fake fans. Don’t go to games, don’t contribute, and are only around when we’re winning so you can boast to your other unemployed friends you’re a canes fan. And now you want one of the lowest revenue and asset P5 universities (among the top 40) to spend even more of their cash, which could be going to the football program, on a t-shirt handout.

I can’t say it enough: go away. We don’t need fans like you.

My issue is that for the whiteout vs. UF in 2013, they sent tons of emails and there was a lot of notice. This blackout is based on one tweet from CanesFootball, so I'm worried many people will miss the memo.

We're asking to get smacked.

YeAH. Im pretty sure Georgia did this [richt] against someone a while back and got hammered. Im fairly certain. They may have won one or two as well. I forget. Whatever

True, it needs to be more publicized and well in advance. But I will be wearing black.

smh... even the Pedophiles in Penn can join together to support their kids and create a cool home field environment, but Miami douches are too cool

My thing is why won't the university start off by trying to have sellouts and go from there? We aren't UGA with a blackout or PSU with a white out (where I believe the shirts are provided), we are a small private school in an oversized stadium. It's going to look tacky with the empty seats on top of black not being a UM color. **** if anything it looks like Vatech with their dark purple. Why copy a big state school trend? Miami sets the trends not follows - what will be a half-a55ed attempt at that.

Miami should give more notice for these type of events or have it planned before the year starts, surely they knew of the black jerseys more than a week prior. Poor on their part, if not for this board I wouldn't know.

Now instead of aiming for a sellout I guarantee there will be at least one fan who doesn't go due to them not having black.

And I'm not the one complaining, you all are on why I want to wear orange.

Keep up.

There will be very few empty seats. Very few. Hardly noticeable.

Just try to keep up, and know what you’re talking about before you post.

Also you’re saying fans might not come because they don’t want to wear black is one of the most retarded things I’ve ever seen written on this site. It’s literally jaw-dropping dumb.

Christ, we have some idiotic “fans”.

Congrats on the dumbest post in a thread that's pretty well represented with dumb ****.

Keep it up buddy. I'll be there row 11, but half of those giving their opinion to me won't be there. Especially on this site, that's another guarantee.

Last game I recall that was close to a sell out was FSU Miami in 2014- n that's due to the FSU fans.

But let's continue trying to be PSU or UGA while those watching primetime on ABC wonder why the **** we are wearing black. At least have it be orange or green.

Yep, a lot of people giving their opinion here won’t be there. That’s true.

Doesn’t change the fact that thinking people won’t go because they’re supposed to wear black is about as brain dead as it gets.

And you’re not keeping up. There will be very few empty seats there.

If you had gone to the GT and Syracuse games, based on the attendance at those games, you would know that.
