Without Tom Brady. The sample size is enormous and the evidence is indisputable. There is no argument anymore.

Bill Belichick as NFL head coach: 83-101 (without Brady)
Dave Wannstedt as NFL head coach: 82-87

Bill Belichick as college head coach: 6-9
Dave Wannstedt as college head coach: 42-31

Bill Belichick championships as a defensive coordinator: 2 (New York)
Dave Wannstedt championships as a defensive coordinator: 2 (Miami and Dallas)

The only advantage Bill Belichick has is in cheating scandals, *** scandals and serial killer scandals. There is no other argument based on all the objective evidence.

Go Canes!

It looked like it was going to be a rout in the 1st quarter and then Old Billy Boy just shut it down…oh and Edward’s SUCKS !!!

It’s crazy how coaches are better when they have great QBs. Mario has won 10 games every season since 2019 when he had a transfer qb starting, but he’s 16-16 when he doesn’t.

Wannstedt coached the Bears and the Jay Fiedler Dolphins. He never had a QB.

Belichick inherited Bernie Kosar and Drew Bledsoe. He botched Kosar and lost with Bledsoe. This is because he's a bad coach without Brady.

Not a Belichick fan, but he also constructed the team around Brady. Could argue Brady would have been average at best if drafted by Browns, Lions, Bears, etc. Also saying he botched Kosar is a reach.

The team he constructed missed the playoffs the year Brady got hurt, despite going undefeated the year before.

Matt Cassell left to play with a real coach, Andy Reid, made the playoffs and went to the Pro Bowl.

Old-time Browns fan here. Belichick botched Kosar as well as the entire operation. He tried to channel Parcells and was a dismal failure.

I’m sure if wannstedt had a great qb he would’ve been a better coach. Belichick won 10 games with Matt cassel and Mac jones. Bernie was pretty washed by the time belichick got to Cleveland. There aren’t a lot of great coaches who accomplish a lot without great players.

This is the dumbest thread on this platform and it's no surprise given the OP.

Edit: And I don't give a ****. Come at me. I'm locked and loaded for this one. Cause it's the dumbest discussion fed by ******* troglodytes who need a lesson bad.

That was the second 11-5 team to ever miss the playoffs in the 16-game era of the NFL

This thread is hilarious and feels like CJ Bailey misdirection

The Browns had 5 winning seasons in 6 seasons before Belichick. They had 1 winning seasons in 5 seasons with Belichick. He turned them into losers.

How did Matt Cassell & Andy Reid enter the equation? Not debating Reid’s offensive acumen, which is probably highest level of any coach the last three decades.
Belichick also probably deserves credit for drafting & developing Brady in his system. Again, just think the debate over who deserves the credit - Brady or Belichick - is fun conversation, yet futile. One likely doesn’t have the same level of success without the other.
