Big update from Herald

Why is Toretta even considered (genuine question)? What has he done to give any indication he'd be good?

Zo I sort of get for football purposes ....but man idk I really thought he'd be better just over fball and have a real, experienced, professional AD in place.....I mean hiring first time HC has gone well right?

Papa John did more for Louisville than Jurich. Ya’ll need to settle down and see what happens. There’s a reason why no one in college athletics has hired Jurich in the last FOUR years.

I agree for the most part. On the other hand.. I really want Alonzo Highsmith involved and I think he’ll do a lot of good. So this is seemingly the route we have to take.

I can assure you one thing - Highsmith will not be anyone’s puppet.

Thank you. That's my point. ppl on here seem to know nothing about but her or even her role yet fill the need to demand her be fired

Better yet take a look at the **** Jurich pulled that athletic program out of when he took the job. We’ve been very detailed in our advocating for him. Sad part Louisville went above and beyond trying to pin him down as a fall guy and it failed. They basically did all the research when it came to clearing his name when they were trying to accomplish the exact opposite.

I don't disagree w/ anything you've said but to offer silver lining, if I understand correctly, Gino has some real business chops. Didn't he start or wasn't he president of Touchdown Radio, which I understood to be a radio production company of sorts?

If we treat football as a business, he may have the ability to create an actual structure or organization.

Barry and Susan got that info from a UM source (and the word used was "option"). OF COURSE the UM source was giving an example, but the only thing that matters is Alonzo's presentation binder. If he mentioned Jen (and I'm sure he's had the chance to meet her previously), then perhaps he is comfortable working with her. And if he DIDN'T mention Jen, then she's not in consideration for his team, and she can take the next ACC job that opens up.

Either way, a "UM source" saying that Jen is an "option" really means nothing. If Alonzo or Gino say Jen is an option, then we should listen.

You don’t fire an AD this close to the early signing period without having a replacement on deck-at least smart administrations don’t? These people are not stupid, brother- you don’t achieve that level of success by being dumb. The problem with these motherfukkers is that they sincerely believe that (because of their level of achievement/status) the “common man “, I.e. the fan base, is an oft uneducated, low brow dummy. They are the decision makers, not because of qualification, but because of a super inflated sense of elitism. And that’s cool, but the problem with this ideological premise is that the results are left wanting. Their bullsh1t doesn’t and hasn’t worked? But because most of us (fans) are deemed as blue collar morons, we couldn’t possibly know better than they do? So they will be absolutely DAMNED if they follow the advise or suggestions from the likes of “you people”. That’s why it seems like they ALWAYS go against, what is obvious to us, the best available option.

Gerald Ford wasn’t elected. Part of a failed admin. This elevating the underlyings hasn’t worked for us. We need a fresh and aggressive reboot.

Not sure who said it, but no way Zo is brought in as DFO. He would be more Associate AD, Football or whatever title Miami would use.

Miami needs to follow structure like Alabama and Clemson if they really are serious!

Hire an AD, I would be alright hiring Zo or Gino as Associate AD, Football, fire Manny and bring in Mario or Lane!!
