Big Ten already suffering in recruiting: League coach claims prospect told him he plans to go to conference that 'supports football'

You could say the same about Miami. Nebraska has the richest history of any team in the Big 10, and the most championships. They have a huge fanbase. They are a blue blood program, no question.

If they defected to the Big 12, that would harm the Big 10 in terms of prestige and money. TV contracts were signed with the expectation that Nebraska would be part of the product. The big 10 minus Nebraska offers diminished value to the TV execs...so you can bet the TV money payout would be adjusted accordingly.
I don't think so. Nebraska has 5 national championship the first in 1970. Michigan has 11, first 1901. OSU has 8, first in 1942. Even Minnesota (a founding member of the Big 10) has 7 national championships the first being 1904.

Look up the term “recency bias.”

Just because Ohio State had success under Urban Meyer doesn’t mean they’re the Big 10’s “marquee program” now and forever.

I doubt even Gene Smith would agree with your assessment pf Nebraska football. You are just some OSU superfan.

OSU has its own problems to worry about. You’re not getting a season, your QB is either declaring or transferring, and the locker room is ****ed.
If "recency bias" is concern, the big 10 goes back to the 1870's, their first championship 1901. Despite playing a long run against the Drakes and Grinnell's of the world, Nebraska's rich history begins with Bob Devaney in the 60's and continued with Osbourne.

Gino is such a good dude. Don’t know him personally but he was great to my son and I up at BC a few years back. My dude was young, ran away from me and Gino scooped him up. Talked to him for 10-15 minutes. Good dude.
A champion on and off the field, and a great Hurricane. Funny story we were coming out of a restaurant in Miami one night and this dude walks up with a football asks G to hit him on a fly! G says on go” Dude tales off, hits him in stride And I think he still running

Notice Frost and the Huskers have been silent lately. My guy tells me they received a message from the conference Big boys! As I said the day they started threatening to leave that they weren’t going anywhere, 54 million reasons a year. They better behave or they might be looking for a new conference and not by choice. My guy has not been wrong, why start now!

Depends on how you count national championships... personally I only consider the coaches/AP polls so I would differ with your numbers a bit.... but point taken. I'll concede that to you. Nebraska does not have the richest history in the Big 10.

Still, they have a very rich history.
