I was at the 2013 GT game, and watched it live! That stop was electric!

But I watched the replay on television, and we really got lucky on that play.

Eddie Johnson crashed on the play to make the tackle. I don't know if he guessed right, or if they called it and conceded the outside. But had the play gone wide, it was an easy 6.

And the subsequent video proves that. GT went wide on both plays, and we had nobody there.

Beating the option is about making the right guess on the play-call, based on tendencies and situation. But it's also about winning most of the 1-on1 battles.

The way GT runs their option, when their blockers "tie", its a win. they really don't have to gain ground with their blocks, as long as they don't lose it or disrupt their timing.

Watch the stop play again ... You'll see 2 GT guys don't even block a Miami player on the play side. I think the QB made the wrong read on the play, and we benefitted.

Golden is a politician. Like most politicians, his only concern is keeping his job.

He is good at it.
 
The last part was hilarious! You can tell Al was like, "This **** just wont give up will he?" I have no doubt O had his screenshot and caught Al off guard..then gave him a zinger when Al said, "you have never seen that formation before?" and O responded, "Not on the one yard line, No"...LOL. I know Joe was very uncomfortable!

Great interview. Lets Al know we are not BSing around this year. He will be called out on everything.
 
I think Blake James talks more football than Grohlden in his interviews, may want to start sending him to football interviews... Grohlden likes to talk about facilities and such, maybe he and James can swap interviews
 
Season will spiral out of control by late September/early October....just a matter of time...

When Golden was asked about that formation for the goal line play - you had to listen very carefully, but you could hear that squeek.

That was Golden's sphincter torquing shut to about 145 foot-pounds.

Does this translate to a Zero CF/S flow rate, or could he conceivably have the **** scared out of him still?

Fat Al is full of sh:t, wasn't he telling the fan base during the cloud years that he didn't have one recruit talk to him about potential sanctions. Now he changes the narrative to state that he couldn't get players from Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa to even take visits.

Moreover dude ask him if the canes are ready to show results and Al responds by ignoring the question and answers by talking about the challenges the team might have to overcome so he can use these as excuses next season if he doesn't achieve those results.

Al is like a broken record he should be a politician rather than a coach with his talking points. It doesn't mater what he is asked he always manages to drop his go to phrases like working our tails off, I'm excited about this group, moving forward, ect.
 
That was the realest talk, EVER!

That interview was like a fan getting to go in on Al, and it was deserved!

The 3-17 record when losing at halftime was a haymaker!

It was also interesting to hear the interviewer not allow Al to fall back on his "recruiting class rankings" to justify how good he is at one portion of the job, even though the rankings for the class on 2017 and 2018 don't matter at all ... But O destroyed that topic by saying Golden lost to Pitt and UVA when we had/have better talent.

That was a knockout!

The question about the GT game was just salt in the wound ...

And a really weak response to go back 2 years about a lucky stop that was based on GT ******** up the play, not Miami actually stopping it!
 
Bout **** time someone publicly asked him those questions.

Zagacki is fkn horrible. Beyond turrible.
