I mean you are not wrong here, but I’m working under the assumption that funds are limited, and I would say that Jacobs has more game winning potential. If we could afford both, great, get ‘emNormally agree on running backs, BUT MJC feels like a classic Saban Bama bruiser back that dominates in big games. A Najee, Henry, Yeldon type. A Fletcher but more NFL upside. To me those playoff game wreckers behind our future Oline aren't a "dime a dozen". Nothing to do with Jacobs here. Obviously still go pedal to the metal for him.
All I did was answer your question! You stated "your not sure if there is an pure offensive tackle in this 27' class Jacob hawk is a pure tackle!Hawk ain't no Markel Bell, ya'll see JUCO now cause of Bell and get excited. Hawk got potential but the jury is still out.
Just need Kenyatta Jackson and Beau Atkinson to end up projected in the 5th round and its a wrapId be shocked if DJ Jacobs isn't a Cane when its all said n done. Him and Bryant can be the sequel to Bain & Mesidor..two first round DEs playing on the same line. Im sure Taylor and Co will drill that into his head until signing day..
Dawson is also a freak. I like DJ and Dawson on the edges. Bryant is a Boberry biscuit away from a DT. Let Bryant be the next Justin Scott.Id be shocked if DJ Jacobs isn't a Cane when its all said n done. Him and Bryant can be the sequel to Bain & Mesidor..two first round DEs playing on the same line. I like Dawson alot too, but for Jacobs' sake, you gotta sell him on the two 5 star D-ends angle, then do whatever is beneficial schematically once you get em on campusDawson is also a freak. The best teams rotate edges. There’s plenty of playing time for Jacob’s and companyI like Dawson alot too, but for Jacobs' sake, you gotta sell him on the two 5 star D-ends angle, then do whatever is beneficial schematically once you get em on campus
I agree! im strictly talking about the recruiting angle that's most effective other then money to get him to flip...come to Miami and play with other dawgs, get coached by a HOFer ,n get drafted first round like Bain n Mesidor did...The best teams rotate edges. Cmon when bell got here everyone questioned if he had the feet to stay at tackle… his kick step was sluggish his first year. Credit to bell himself and Mirabal for turning him into an mid round draft pickHawk ain't no Markel Bell, ya'll see JUCO now cause of Bell and get excited. Yes, Bell looked slow and awkward when he arrived. Hawk (at least in the videos I've seen) looks even more slow and awkward. He will need a lot of work and we can hope he contributes in a few years.Cmon when bell got here everyone questioned if he had the feet to stay at tackle… his kick step was sluggish his first year. Thanks for your opinion… shocker a dude coming from juco needs work. Not trying to sound like a **** just saying we have coaches that can help develop dudes… you can’t coach size but you can coach kick step, hand placement, and understand how to use the god given tools you have.Yes, Bell looked slow and awkward when he arrived. I agree. I just think he's going to need more time than Bell. And I think he could have 4 years here if he stays with the program. I don't think they would have taken him if they didn't believe he would eventually contribute. Thanks for your opinion… shocker a dude coming from juco needs work. Adds another layer to his insane 3 and 4 were last year. The amount of snaps they played was wildThe best teams rotate edges. There’s plenty of playing time for Jacob’s and company
Definitely agree he’s a longer term stash and develop kid… but in today’s NIL you gotta develop to help offset paying for 5star kids. We don’t have dodger payrollsI agree.
