It's a lot more complicated than that. But the university is in a bad place right now. A big part of it is lack of financial resources (I don't mean this specifically about the football program, but the university more broadly). It took forever to raise the money for the IPF because Miami's "big donors" (including Lemonis) are pikers in the grand scheme. Private universities need donors who are regularly cutting 8 figure checks. We don't have that.

The better the teams the more exposure it brings the school which g brings in more $$$

Exactly! I’m waiting for the acc to give us the big East temple treatment as in youre out of here. And we deserve to be kicked out! ACC thought they were getting a football power and all they got was a corrupt leech that sucks the life dry of everything in its path.
