My thoughts LSU
Auto recruit state. No Louisiana stud leaves if the Tigers want 'em
Money is no objective

UF offers equal or better $and resources, but a shade better
But I don't see UF being that auto recruit level. Yes. Florida as a state has more talent that LA, but it's divided up, just not in state, but amongst the nation

And, yup
This is the Lane Train battle royal
If he stays at Ole Miss, it gets real interesting for each

Hello Joe Brady

LSU by a Mount Everest mile.

UF has been a dead job since Urby faked his death & left town.

LSU has carte blanche for the best Louisiana talent, they get premium Texas, Mississippi-Delta prospects regularly. And they've forged pipelines into Florida throughout the years.

They get the best WR's & some of the best CB's right in their backyard, plus have an unlimited War-chest for NIL.

They're apart of the Big 3 of the SEC.

UF is a bottom rung program on par with Arkansas, Miss ST, Kentucky, Auburn, South Car etc..

Their Basketball program far exceeds their Football.

LSU but there’s more pressure to win big. BK just got fired with a 34-14 record. If G5 had that record, he probably wouldn’t even be on the hot seat.

Really it just depends on the Coach/situation. For example, Kiffin has a lot of ties to Florida. Despite it being slightly lower tier, I think he’d choose Gata over LSU. Both are elite jobs. Wish them the worst luck.

You don't think UF has some crazy, unrealistic expectations as well. Maybe worse
UF fired 4 (more?) coaches after urban,
Some records we'd blush about having
Especially SEC

Spurrier connection right?
Otherwise... what else?

Louisiana is an excellent football state, and L$U has a recruiting advantage there that few comprehend.

They also have a ton of money and are the prohibitive majority fanbase in their state.

Their floor is just higher than UF's. I'd argue UF's ceiling is as high, but the path to get there is more complicated.

Don't forget that Urban won at a time whem FSU was in the twilight Bowden years, and Miami was floundering under latter-day Coker and Randy.

LsPoo would have wanted Billy fired in year 2, UF gave him some leeway tbh.

EXACTAMENTE

Urban caught lightening in a bottle. In fact both times Florida has won, its because we were down

LSU is a job where I could say 10 coaches COULD win a national championship. Florida better have THE ONE and all things be right

LSU by a country mile

LSU and it’s not close for all the reasons That’s been stated already in this thread.

Only thing is that its expectations are nattys and playoff berths regularly.
