Numbers don't lie

Sure they do. Coker was 23-0 at one point.

No. They don't lie. Coker was the right man for the team at that time. His national title and record prove it.

In this case, it proves Butch was the right man. When his players left and Clappy had to recruit and coach.....that's his true numbers. #BBB

IT's all true. At 23-0 Coker showed his mastery. He was wise enough to know not to **** with anything. A lot of other coaches would not have been as passive and might have cost the team a game by installing a new scheme, etc.

Coker was clearly not the right long term choice but he was the right man for 2001 - 2002 - 2003. Again, I take issue with his extension but not his hiring.

Best: Jimbo Fisher, Florida State (8-4, .667). Fisher wrote the book last season on how to win close games, going 7-0 in one-possession contests. That's an absurdly high single-season rate. With Jameis Winston now gone, there's nowhere to go but down for Fisher in close games. Still, Fisher has won 10 straight one-possession games, with the last loss coming against North Carolina State in 2012.

Worst: Al Golden, Miami (11-12, .478). To be fair, Golden's mediocre success rate in close games can be partially attributed to starting his career at Temple and inheriting NCAA sanctions at Miami. Will more scholarship depth help Miami win tight games, or is this who Golden is as a coach?

:hopelessness:

jimbo got a huge boost from jamies before that he was losing to nc state, wake, & va

Didn't he also have a 10 win season with E.J. Manuel as qb? Meanwhile, we have a MUCH better qb in Brad Kaaya and if we reach 10 wins, it'll be nothing short of a miracle.

His whole Oline in 2013 was an NFL O line they are all playing. McDermott may be the only one not starting but i saw him with the 2's with the Cowboys. NFL WR, RB, TEs. He frankly should have won a bowl game in 2013. He has had the players.

Pre-Jameis Winston FSU:

2010 Florida State 10–4 6–2 1st (Atlantic) W Chick-Fil-A 16 17
2011 Florida State 9–4 5–3 T–2nd (Atlantic) W Champs Sports 23 23
2012 Florida State 12–2 7–1 T–1st (Atlantic) W Orange† 8 10

Two 10 win seasons, ACC title in 2012. Won the Coastal in his first year. Finished the season ranked every year.

Meanwhile, in Coral Gables, UM's goal is to win the Coastal in year 5...

This. The biggest myth is that jimbo wasn't winning before Winston. Having a qb like Winston helps you get to that next level like winning the national championship, but pre Winston jimbo was doing well and improving.

It's very simple, win this year or GTFOH! Scary that this may be the third straight UM Head Coach that will have a hard time getting a job after he gets sh*tcanned.
