Best players on the team opposing Miami you've seen?

The best player on an opponents team that I've seen play against Miami in recent years was

1A Calvin Johnson WR Georgia Tech

OMG he had everything going for him as a WR except a QB.
His stats weren't great against us but whenever the ball was thrown his way I remember standing up and marveling at his athleticism.

1B Jameis Winston QB FSU

Never saw another young QB so cool, calm, collected and effective. Seemed totally unflappable despite our numerous tough hits and when he got hot he was almost impossible to stop

I remember telling pops:

"If there is ever a 5"10 QB to make it to the NFL, it will be Russell Wilson" Sho nuff. Of course there were many others, but you get it.

I feel like this list should be limited to games Miami STILL WON in spite of the great performance by the opposing player.

In that case, here are some:

Craig "Iron Head" Heyward

Sammie Smith

Marshall Faulk

Greg Jones

Chris Weinke

Demaryius Thomas

Cade McNown

Lawrence Phillips, Nebraska

That was a great defense that Miami had in 94, and he came in and brought it to them.
Yeah...but that Defense was missing 2-3 starters that game....Riley...Lang and Holmes were hurt...and Rock was banged up...Anf it was the FB Slessinger who actually killed us....

And Tommie Frazier coming off the bench.
Not really....I was there....Sapp was flinging Frazier and Berringer around like Rag Dolls for 3 quarters until exhaustion....
What KILLED us were 2 things.....
FB Slessinger
Costa underthrowing a WIDE open Jon Harris for a SURE TD....
Costa OVERTHROWING a WIDE open Harris for another SURE TD....

Maybe I misunderstood the OP's question but I don't see how Vick can be mentioned here.
If you saw him at VT vs us in '99 he was just average.
11 for 23 for 151.
14 for 46 rushing.
In 2000 in the OB he did absolutely zero.
2 of 5 passing for 9 yards with an int.
3 rushes for 5 yards.

I saw Bo Jackson up here in '84. Same thing.
"Nice" game for him but he didn't break 100 yards.

I'll go with McNab, Zorich, and more recently, without question, has to be Cook.

Give me 1 or 2 first downs in the fourth quarter and we win.

Faulk! Normally people would skip a team like San Diego St. The stands were full both games because they knew it would be entertaining at worst. Faulk didn't disappoint with some long runs and returns.

Because the thread is about the best player on the opposing team, not who played the best game against us.

Or else we'll have to add muthafvckin Chafie Fields to this list.

And I'm not ready to do that!
