Let's face it folks, Golden will be here next year. The only way I see him getting fired is if we do not get a bowl bid. So as I see it, this is the best case scenario:

Coley gets "promoted" to Asst. Coach\QB coach
Doritos fired
New DC hired that runs an aggressive scheme
Top notch OC is hired who has proven to be an X\O guy
Jethro replaced
If there is room, a real ST coach is brought in.

This is what you should be analyzing for now instead of a new thread every five minutes about the next coach for 2015. Golden is here next year.

problem is AG will not fire anyone. So this is wishful thinking. The only persons he has "fired" have been players

Best case scenarios is that UL goes undefeated and so do we the rest if the season and we see them again in the ACC championship. All other scenarios put this program back even longer.

Al better start getting aggressive on O and on D even though I thought the D did look much better.

Start using your weapons the correct way and take the fight to other teams and we have a shot. Play not to lose and we will lose at least 5 games this year which I expect after seeing that loser approach to UL.

I'm so tired of this bull**** line "he'll be here next year." It's said by Golden fans who can't even dare face the reality that their guy might be gone.

He's out the door at 7-5 and no Coastal title. He would have put up the exact same W/L total as Shannon in 4 years, who was also sown the door.

The Pitt game will be a ghost town, and if you think the fallout right now is bad, just wait until the losses start piling up. There are a lot of teams better than Louisville yet to come.

You lost me at Coley getting promoted

Did you not see the quotes around the word? In other words it is a way of relieving his OC duties, yet keep him on staff. Coley is a beast recruiter. He is responsible for several of the elite 2015\2016 kids committed. You fire Coley then Jimbo immediately hires him back and we lose stud recruits to FSU.

You and no one else has knowledge of his buyout. It may not even be possible to fire Golden after this year.

We just lost to a below average UL team. Wait til we play Nebraska and FSU.

Teams that have a high probability of beating us are
UVA
VT
GT
UNC
Cincinnati
Duke (cause they follow the Nebraska game)

A blowout loss at Nebraska and the talk will really heat up

been saying (hoping) this since summer. It's not that we lost but HOW we lost to louisville...and there's no way two wins against sh*t opponents is going to quell any criticism. At this point I'm not even willing to assume we look good, let alone beat Florida A&M/Ark.St.

But for the sake of argument, we are 2-1 vs nebraska. History tells us that we will comeout and hang in for 1, maybe 2 quarters...start to crumble, then completely fall apart late in the game. It's a broken record. The players buy into what he sells going into every game, but their true faith shines through once the going gets tough. Under golden we have never come from behind and really only hung in when teams allowed us to. Zero passion, plain and simple.

So at 2-2 with blowout losses vs quality opponents, combined with last year's finish, golden will finally be in a hole even he cant talk himself out of. I fully believe ONE HUNDRED percent that the pressure from alumni and former players combined with media scrutiny will finally put the BOT and admins to the point of action.

He makes it through the year, 6-6, maybe 7-5. If we make a bowl I think the house is cleaned prior.

I think we steal one, MAYBE two of cincy/GT/duke/UVA. Howevr all should be close and with the way thi team has performed under golden in close games, losing all is still the probable outcome. we could be looking at 5-7/4-8

This is south florida. When the fans and media turn on you here, you're not on the hot seat, it's a blazing inferno of impending termination. It's already starting. After 4 years of Al's bs, the players are going to be real quick to quit and when that happens this season is going to be an epic dumpster fire.

AD will force him to. And they have leverage after the PSU stunt he tried to pull.

LOL at our AD having any leverage over Golden. What kind of leverage do you think we have after Miami gave him an extension before he even finished his first calendar year under contract?

this line of thinking is mind boggling to me.

this POS will be gone this year barring a miracle turn around. 7-5 is the ceiling for this team

The same leverage that forced Golden to withdraw his name from PSU consideration. Don't fu!@ with Donna.

Who knows. There's always a buyout clause. We're not locked in for paying him $2 million plus for the next 6 years.
