@MiamiChris My go to places for me and my GF are the Ravenous Pig in Winter Park...El Pescatore on Primrose....7-Bites for Breakfast...and Brunch....With Seafood I'm rather picky, and would rather cook it at home instead...Lombardi's Seafood Purveyors in Winter Park has a Great selection....4 Rivers is Good Barbecue...but it was alot better 10yrs ago...became too commercialized...I know Johnny the owner...and I'm close to Kevin and Julie both Chef/Owners of Ravenous Pig...

I’ve been to Ravenous a few times and every time loved the food and ambiance, I live close to disney Springs so id like to try the polite pig also. LOVE 4 Rivers, they opened up the building a bit more at the one near me and it’s awesome, wife and kids both love it.

@MiamiChris Take your wife and kids to El Pescatore on Primrose for Italian...Moderately priced..with HUGE portions...nothing fancy...but excellent food.

Clark made a big Int but wasn't a pick 6 in 89 ND game it was a 50 yard return that broke open game.

That game was still tight though.
It wasn't till our 36 play, hour and ten minute TD drive that sealed it in the 3rd.
(sarcasm. It was a 22 play, 11 min TD drive)
That drive featured.....

And Tiger cleaning up all over the field. When Mira Jr was suspended, no one knew if Tiger could get it done. Needless to say, he got it done. Place was shaking on the near pick six. Greatest atmosphere of any sporting event I’ve ever seen. Led to NC#3.

IIRC, Tiger replaced Mira in the 88 Orange Bowl vs the Sooners( and was named the Defensive Player of the Game by NBC), in 89 he was the full time starter flanked by Maurice Crum and Richard Newbill

And yeah, that pick right before half was huge, ND had tied the game at 10 and had some momentum going, stepped right in front of a pass intended for Derek Brown(that lead to a Stephen McGuire TD run)

Yep, Mira Jr suspended and Tiger stepped in. Maurice was the real deal. Who could imagine the three freshman would make up one of the greatest LB trios in history, The Bermuda Triangle!

92 Orange Bowl vs Nebraska, Rusty Medearis played like a man possessed. Warren Sapp against them a few years later too.

Armstead...Barrow and Smith weren't at UM in 87...they were all part of the 89 class...

You are correct. I should have referenced the 89 ND game as the three freshmen as backups. Good Call. The older I get the less I remember. I guess they invented google for a reason!

There was a game against Oklahoma were Jerome Brown was basically unsroppable. this should be mentioned...he wound up with double digiti tackles amoungst other ****

I can remember a lot of outstanding performances by UM defenders in big games but two of the best were by Bernard “Tiger” Clark In the 88 Orange Bowl replacing a suspended George Mira Jr. He was the defensive MVP, had 14 or 15 tackles, helping shut down the Sooners and earn the Canes NC #2. Then in the 89 ND game the dude was all over the field, had something like 18 tackles and of course the near pick six returned to the ND 10 leading to the go ahead TD after ND tied the game at 10. Tiger and Maurice Crum highlighted a LB group that had Barrow, Jesse Armstead and Darrin Smith as back ups.
I still have both those games on VHS, the Tiger was fierce

Ted Hendricks was a one-man wrecking crew against Florida in 1966. Spurrier got so ****ed off he threw a football at Ted's helmet instead of taking the sack. He also whined after the game about consistently being late him by Ted.

Ted had like 6-7 sacks, so the story goes. Had ESPN been around then, this game would be #1 on everyone's list. Spurrier had just won the Heisman, and Ted made him his personal tackling dummy.

I think that was the game where he and another player sacked Aikman and broke his leg.

Spurrier told me in the mid 90s at an SEC Conference at the SanDestin Bch Hilton where I was a Chef that Hendricks was the Best he ever saw...And you could tell he was Dead serious.
Steve would know, he has an impression of 89 on his chest and back. If Ted played today, he would make teams go back to full house backfield. His wing span looked like it cover one half of the field and each step sidewades moved it ten years. You just could not run away from him. You only chance was straight at him.
