yep,,,it was 85- 14 tackles !
actually i was wrong.. just read another article with this quote :

"Brown led the Miami defensive effort with 16 tackles, a blocked field goal, and a sack on Aikman."

and earlier in the article it talks about Jerome hitting Holloway in the backfield forcing a fumble. I wonder how many forced fumbles and tackles for losses he had in that game.

We Whipped OU at their home in 85...Even though they Won the NC....From 85 to 87 OU had only 3 losses...All to UM....JJ made Switzer his Personal B*tch....And Butch was the DL Coach for all those Wins...

Never saw ANY UM DLman dominate a Nebraska OL like that....Till this very day, I still say we win that game if our DL was 100%....Although Costa more than likely would've F-ed it up somehow...

If the offense could have generated a few first downs in the 4th quarter we win. Had zero.

JJs Defensive Gameplan came from Former OU coach Bud Wilkerson....Wilkerson practically invented the 5-2 and the 4-3 that JJ Loved...Wilkerson never gets enough credit...But he was Savage...

Russell Maryland stole the Texas QB soul in the 91 Cotton Bowl.

The entire unit against Houston when we owned their ***.

RIP ST26.

Haven’t seen Carlos Jones vs FSU in ‘94 mentioned yet. It looked like he was gonna be an all-timer at CB with that performance, but then he kind of fizzled out.

BTW, those Jerome Brown vs Oklahoma stats are simply insane for a DT.

Ted Hendricks against USC in 1966. USC was 6-0 with a great running attack, the U held them to 81 yards rushing. The coaches kept moving The Mad Stork to different sides of the line and the U won 10-7. Hendricks was an animal.

Too many to count.

Taylor in the rain game against FSU and Rix.

Maryland in the '91 Cotton Bowl with a handful of sacks.

Medearis's first game with 5 sacks against....someone.

Sapp in one of the big bowl games against...someone. Probably Sapp in 1/2 of all the games he played here.

And so on.

Glad to see the Rusty Medearis mention. It was against Texas Tech. While not a "big game" based on the opponent, the fact that it was his first actual start (he had playing time as a backup before that), and he had 5 1/2 sacks, and something like 10-12 total tackles, was amazing.
