Sean Taylor vs. FSU in 2003
any other answer is just wrong
Sean Taylor vs. FSU in 2003
The craziest part of Sean Taylor's game that day was as incredible as it was, he actually had the chance for not just one, but two more interceptions (check 4:13 and 5:16 of this video). As it stands, I still think he had the best game any safety ever had. Had he made those two interceptions, it would go down as the best game by any defensive player ever IMO.
Clark made a big Int but wasn't a pick 6 in 89 ND game it was a 50 yard return that broke open game.I can remember a lot of outstanding performances by UM defenders in big games but two of the best were by Bernard “Tiger” Clark In the 88 Orange Bowl replacing a suspended George Mira Jr. He was the defensive MVP, had 14 or 15 tackles, helping shut down the Sooners and earn the Canes NC #2. Then in the 89 ND game the dude was all over the field, had something like 18 tackles and of course the pick six after ND tied the game at 10. Tiger and Maurice Crum highlighted a LB group that had Barrow, Jesse Armstead and Darrin Smith as back ups.
Good call, can’t trust the memory! Corrected it! Followed Bolcar pick six with a return to around the 10. Game was tied at 10 and play was a huge momentum swing. Then we start the second half with that 10 minute drive featuring the famous 3rd and 43!Clark made a big Int but wasn't a pick 6 in 89 ND game it was a 50 yard return that broke open game.
Did you see the two games I mentioned. They were huge games, both decided NCs and Tiger Clark was unbelievable. Sean has a great game in Tally, no question, but the magnitude of Clark’s games wins out. The 2003 game led to a rematch in the Orange Bowl, Tigers led to NCs.The only answer to this question is Sean Taylor against FSU in 2003

Spurrier told me in the mid 90s at an SEC Conference at the SanDestin Bch Hilton where I was a Chef that Hendricks was the Best he ever saw...And you could tell he was Dead serious.Ted Hendricks was a one-man wrecking crew against Florida in 1966. Spurrier got so ****ed off he threw a football at Ted's helmet instead of taking the sack. He also whined after the game about consistently being late him by Ted.

I was there....Great Win...Plenty of great responses but nobody did it on a bigger stage than Bernard “Tiger” Clark. BTW when the Canes went to Baton Rouge in 88 Tiger Clark went over to Mike the Tiger’s cage before the game and was shaking it because he wanted to hear it growl! He was silly! Canes won 44-3
That entire DL Feasted vs Texas...Shane Curry was a F-ing Animal....It was FREEZING there....Coldest I've ever been at a UM Game.Russell Maryland vs Texas 1991 Cotton Bowl. TMack single handedly won 2 games for us in '97. ST in '93, hooboy! Great memories.
OTHER THAN Taylor vs. FSU in 2003...
Dan Morgan vs. FSU in 2000. Dude was EVERYWHERE that game.
Absolutely right about that game against Nebraska. He kept UM in that game almost single handedlyHis game against Nebraska was even more impressive..considering 3 of our DLmen were hurt...including a backup....He was throwing Frazier and Berringer around like Rag dolls for 3 qrtrs..until complete exhaustion set in...One of UMs Greatest Solo DL performances in History...even in a loss...
Neat atmosphere for about 10 minutes. Boys were on a mission that night!I was there....Great Win...
Sapp's bowl game was against NebraskaToo many to count.
Taylor in the rain game against FSU and Rix.
Maryland in the '91 Cotton Bowl with a handful of sacks.
Medearis's first game with 5 sacks against....someone.
Sapp in one of the big bowl games against...someone. Probably Sapp in 1/2 of all the games he played here.
And so on.
