Excellent point. So he'll be paying 9% (or 8.97% to be exact) on the vast majority of his earnings. Still a heck of a bump above federal income taxes. Even Taxachusetts has only a 5% flat rate.

I always wish some of these guys would play pro ball for the Fins and am always disappointed. Would have liked to see Berrios or Feliciano here. Oh well.

two questions

1. he pays the tax for all games or for the ones played in New Jersey?

2. i assume he practices and plays in new jersey, not new york. dont know the SALT difference between NY and NJ??
