Is that how you spell the UVA QB's name? I can't be bothered to look it up.

Can someone please explain to me how this dude came out at noon today and suddenly looked like the 1990 version of Ty Detmer?

I thought he was gonna win the Heisman by halftime. How does that even happen?

His picture looked liked a douche bag...then the shush to the crowd? His wife wasn’t even that hot...**** him.

he's a senior

so at the very least he's experienced, that a mixed with an unmotivated defense equals great day for the qb

We played right into their hands. This kid did make some legit *** throws on the run though.

He's good. Was tied with Lamar for ACC lead in TD passes coming into the game. He and Woodside have been the best QBs we've faced this season.

Sometimes you just have to tip your cap....guy was unconscious. That throw before the end of the half was unbelievable. The throw in the third quarter to go up 28-14 after the punt was also crazy, he was mid stride and threw a dime.

Okay, I didn't know about that stat. That does make a difference, I guess.

Just seemed like he was playing out of his mind in the first half and I wondered if he had ever shown that before.

Good quarterback, but he should not have looked like the next coming of Tom Brady. I mean for fvcks sake...the dude looked like Jesus out there. The soft zone and lack of pressure, though, in the first half, certainly didn't help our case.

Yea he's definitely got some ability and has played a lot of ball over his career. He was still playing out of his mind in that first half though. Law of averages said he would eventually cool off and he did but make no mistake, he's no scrub.

I think our style of defence works best when we are facing inexperienced qb's. We have a lot of moving pieces on D and we constantly bring pressure and call stunts and Gap blitzes with our front 7. If they don't get to the qb and he has the patients to wait for his receivers to find the holes they can be successful. He did a nice job of standing in the pocket and their OC did an even better job of calling plays that moved him away from the pressure.

I had been watching his film all week. Said it a few times that he was pretty good but I didn't see this coming lol. I think a lot of it had to do with that soft *** coverage we were giving them. As well as missed assignments from the safeties.

if you actually care, you might give a listen to the WQAM pre game shows. They regularly have info on the opposing team, including its players. I heard quite a bit about UVA's QB on todays show. sometimes the Herald sports page runs articles about them as well.*actually quite a few times--almost always imo. there are several ways to inform yourself about the opponents and their players. if you care.

Pretty much this. Guy was on fire and placing balls perfectly. Its hard to defend a perfect throw.

last year he made some really nice throws under pressure vs Miami. Guy can play a bit

The lack of pressure was the big thing to me. He never really had to worry about getting the ball out early.

You’re ****ed at the dude for the very same thing the Canes are known for. Shushing the crowd, taunting, etc. It makes the game more interesting. Stop crying. Kid played a great game. Tip your hat.

Canes don't marry 4's

He'x a really good, very accurate QB who had a great game. Thankfully we were able to turn up the pressure in the second half and do enough to slow him down.

Some of our fans need to realize other teams have good players too. This guy was one of the best QBs in the ACC, even before this game. Like Toledo's QB, he's legit.
