Belichick talks about Ed Reed (new)

Yeah… the guy who won the Thorpe Award over Ed. The same award that just so happens to be voted on by the “Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame”… can’t take any of these people seriously.
And that’s why the Cowgirls get what they’ve gotten for the past 25+ years. Dude passed on a Cane(I think because of the Jimmy beef) and appeased all those Sooner/Cowboys fans in N. Texas and Oklahoma to the detriment of his franchise. Pure clown show type ****…

I remember the media hype train really being overboard with trying to convince everybody Roy was the better prospect than Ed. What they were asked to do within their defenses was apples and oranges (much like the Ed vs Troy Polamalu argument).

Dillon Gabriel getting 1st Team All American over Cam this year sent me right back to 2001 with the sham voting surrounding the Thorpe Award. Straight f*ckery.

Ed was in one of my classes, dude was a jokester but a kind dude. I was always surprised he was a football player because he didn't seem all that big. We had an Olineman in the same class, that human was a large individual, don't recall the player's name though.

Mack Brown salty, throwing some shade

Mack isn't salty he's speaking the truth, those who are offended by the facts are indeed salty
its always sunny in philadelphia television GIF

I think Ed’s lack of prototypical size helped him stay agile, if he was 3-4 inches taller and 10-15 lbs heavier he might not have been able to fly around like he did. Then again Sean Taylor had no problem flying around at that size so nevermind lol

Yeah that explains the Derrick Strait (OU) Thorpe Award over Sean Taylor 2003.

Mack didn’t accomplish sh/t at UNC so there’s “absolutely no reason why Bill shouldn’t be successful” with all the help hes getting…

Yea but ST was a freak of nature. And he could have played almost any position and been a star.

Imagine having Ed Reed and Sean Taylor and neither won the Thorpe. It almost sounds fake.

Reminds me of the corrupt all ACC voting where it’s always the Clemson show. Didn’t we have an all American d end that wasn’t first team all ACC ?

Hold up.... Is Mack saying the same UNC that got popped concerning academic dishonesty with over 200 questionable classes that did not adhere to academic standards and they were majoring in swahili and after 4 years the players couldnt speak a single word is only NOW playing funny games with academics?

Didnt the pats have a good safety duo? Years kinda run together but was that the Lawyer Milloy/Ty Law era? I mean that could have played a part as well, you usually draft to try to fill holes and build depth, maybe felt S just was not a need compared to the rest of the roster.
Lawyer Malloy was their starting strong safety and Tebucky Jones was their primary starter at free safety. Their depth at safety was not very impressive. Jones played well in 2001 and was retained for the 2002 season, so help at free safety was not a priority.
