Kentucky is competitive in most of their games. The guy can coach.
Except, of course, when they lose 41-3, 63-31, and 50-16 as part of their six game losing streak to end 2014.
I guess the word "most" escaped you? His first year, he won 2 games. Last year, he won 5 games (should have beaten Florida in the Swamp). During their 6 game losing streak they lost to LSU, MSU (nearly won), Missouri, UGA, Tennessee, and Louisville. That is tough for anyone, let alone a school like Kentucky. In his 3rd year, he has Kentucky 2-0 with a victory at South Carolina. I'm not saying he is the next Saban or anything but the guy is a good coach.
Cute argument though. You really put me in my place. I'll act more accordingly from now on....
We shouldn't be looking for a HC that we have to make a ton of excuses for. It's too risky, and our program is at a major crossroads. We shouldn't start our next coaching search with "He loses a ton of games, but...(fill in a laundry list of excuses)".
I agree. I don't think he should be our next hire. Too much at stake. I have gone on record saying we should look at the NFL. That being said, Stoops is going to have a **** of a career. The guy is successful everywhere he goes. But we have these incredibly super duper intelligent slurpers telling me that because he got destroyed by LSU he must suck as a coach. That's incredible logic. I'm seriously questioning a lot about myself.
