Becks INT..

Comparing Beck and Jared Goff is just laughable. I'm not the biggest Goff fan, but he is playing incredible football. Beck is a day 3 pick right now and would struggle to make a practice squad in the NFL with his mechanics and inability to lead an offense. With our OL, its embarrassing how bad our passing game was.
What a dumb *** comment. Do you know how comparisons work lmao.
When Cam Ward is compared to Pat Mahomes does that mean he's going to be as good as Pat Mahomes?

Wasn’t even his worse throw of the night. Really rough game. This is the version of Beck I really struggled to watch last year. It’s like watching the bad version of Jared Goff. Feet get stuck on his spot and he’s late to pop off and make a decisive throw. He did it often late last season, which is what I previously mentioned. Hope he doesn’t freeze against 2-deep Safeties the way TVD did his last season here.
Goff is spot on man. He starts to move in the pocket way to late is starts throwing before he's set.
This is very teachable for a guy that has his ability to process all of his reads and who's presnap game is elite.

It's a 6-Dig Dagger concept from Trips Left.

The WR is SUPPOSED to climb because its a climbing route. Once he gets 10-14yds of depth at the top of his stem, he supposed to break towards the center of the field.

The progression on that read is X,Y (option), F & then H/T.

When the QB climbs the pocket & has time to throw, he's got at least 3 options to take if the Safety is covering the 3rd middle shell.

UF is pre snap single-High, they drop 7 & are playing a simple Cover 3; He could’ve either
- Kept it & ran the ball
- Threw it to the F backside left hashes
- "cHecK tHe bALL dOwn!" to the H running an out to the Flats

Or...

Actually put the ball out in front of the WR.

That's the kinda throw that requires a different kinda arm. I think I remember a QB who made that same throw before, but the name escapes me...

But if you're trying to put that on the WR, you're just flat out incorrect.

he had a sold 7 yard run in front of him. in fact, when we climbed the pocket, i thought he was faking the pass and was going to run. yes, he had a linebacker at the line of gain, but he had a solid pickup in front of him

Only thing I'd say I would've liked to see out of Daniels on that play is him helping his QB out and atleast TRYING to break that ball up. Throw was a horrible one by beck. He was shook all night. But same way the receiver needs to rely on ball placement by beck, beck also needs to rely on the effort in all instances of the receiver.
he should have tackled mcclain or hit him even if he gets a penalty. it was clear as day from the stadium

The worst part of that INT wasn't the throw.

It was the TIMING. The gators had just regained pretty much all momentum and that INT, at that time, was the worst possible thing we could have done. It boosted so much energy and hope on the other side and had our fans feeling like "oh boy here we go again".

Thankfully the D stepped up but if they didn't, UF could have taken the lead on that drive and who knows if we ever would get momentum back again.

But Carson, as a veteran, has to be more aware in that situation and know how crucial a few first downs were in that scenario. Was a big mental error more than the physical one.
it was PERFECT timing for them coming off of the sole Florida TD.

He had 3 options there, 2 of which were low risk of a turnover especially since it was 1st & 10:

1) run for 6-8 yards and slide and thus an upcoming 2nd & short.

2) hit a wide open Fletcher for likely 10 yards on the check down

3) Take the chance he did into a window surrounded by 4 gators, which is the one he took. I am fine with that as that should’ve been completed. But his feet were all ****ed up, likely due to him thinking of running and then throwing last second and he put no mustard on that ball. He threw a touch pass when he needed to zip that in leading the receiver.

From what I see, it starts with poor foot work.

His accuracy has been average at best so far this year.
i thought he had a 70% plus completion percentage and some of his best throws were off platform. the TD to Malachi and Daniels vs ND were with off platform and both were elite throws.

Yeah I was wrong. Man I don’t remember it looking like that. Still want Daniels to hand fight or something but just a great play by DB. Beck has to make a better read.

LAMP WAS WRONG. Sorry Marion 😆 & Daniels.

My fault. Tab is on me if I ever see you out.

Didn't even need to do all of that. But receivers are taught to become DBS in those exact spots. He didn't even attempt to break that up. Didn't even move at all towards anything. Doesn't excuse it was a ****, lame duck throw. But not all of them are gonna be perfect especially against an opportunistic d. Help ur QB out.

I agree but there was something funky about his foot work in that throw. Almost as if he tripped on his feet.

He had nothing behind that throw. Cormani came from 4 yards behind and picked it off.

Just wasn’t his best off platform throw.

The INT was actually on the o-line. They whiffed on a bltzing linebacker which disrupted Beck's throw. Would have been a big play for us if not for that.

O Line played tough and physical but they also made some pretty costly mistakes this game they'll need to clean up.

it was an awful throw and behind the receiver again. mcclain came off of another receiver and intercepted it. he made a very good play but beck's very poor throw.

i dont think Daniels (7 below) ever saw him because McClain wasn't covering him. McClain came off of another receiver (17 below) and stepped in front of him. the throw was slightly behind him

This 100%! Was hoping he was going to tuck and run but threw it behind the receiver which he did a lot this game. It was a strange game from him combined with low throws and he was getting "happy feet" really bad.
I also want him to take more accountability for himself, his interview after the game was a lot of "we" mistakes but it should have been more "me".
That's something I admired about Cam was accountability, your teammates will kill for you if you have that trait.
Very happy for the win but man I hope Beck really takes these next 2 weeks to clean some things up.
I stand corrected, in his press conference he took accountability and that's a sign of a true leader! On to FSWHO!
