Becks INT..

It's a 6-Dig Dagger concept from Trips Left.

The WR is SUPPOSED to climb because its a climbing route. Once he gets 10-14yds of depth at the top of his stem, he supposed to break towards the center of the field.

The progression on that read is X,Y (option), F & then H/T.

When the QB climbs the pocket & has time to throw, he's got at least 3 options to take if the Safety is covering the 3rd middle shell.

UF is pre snap single-High, they drop 7 & are playing a simple Cover 3; He could’ve either
- Kept it & ran the ball
- Threw it to the F backside left hashes
- "cHecK tHe bALL dOwn!" to the H running an out to the Flats

Or...

Actually put the ball out in front of the WR.

That's the kinda throw that requires a different kinda arm. I think I remember a QB who made that same throw before, but the name escapes me...

But if you're trying to put that on the WR, you're just flat out incorrect.
This 100%! Was hoping he was going to tuck and run but threw it behind the receiver which he did a lot this game. It was a strange game from him combined with low throws and he was getting "happy feet" really bad.
I also want him to take more accountability for himself, his interview after the game was a lot of "we" mistakes but it should have been more "me".
That's something I admired about Cam was accountability, your teammates will kill for you if you have that trait.
Very happy for the win but man I hope Beck really takes these next 2 weeks to clean some things up.

Not sure Daniels could have contorted himself to be able to fight for the ball. He was running full speed and would have kept running if the ball had been placed accurately. It was on Beck. He had a bad game in bad conditions. But WTF cares? Just bounce back, short term memory. I am confident he will be lights out vs. FSU.

WR runs the route the way its coached.

QB makes the bad decision & doesn’t have good ball placement on the throw.

WR gets blamed.

Smh lol

Threads like this is why I stopped arguing with people on here. A lot of yall genuinely don't have a clue as to what you're watching.
He had 3 options there, 2 of which were low risk of a turnover especially since it was 1st & 10:

1) run for 6-8 yards and slide and thus an upcoming 2nd & short.

2) hit a wide open Fletcher for likely 10 yards on the check down

3) Take the chance he did into a window surrounded by 4 gators, which is the one he took. I am fine with that as that should’ve been completed. But his feet were all ****ed up, likely due to him thinking of running and then throwing last second and he put no mustard on that ball. He threw a touch pass when he needed to zip that in leading the receiver.

From what I see, it starts with poor foot work.

His accuracy has been average at best so far this year.

100% on Beck. He was open a split second sooner or he should have either run it or dumped it off.

Still have the concern that we don’t have elite speed at WR to help get those safeties back.

Yeah after I rewatched he had started to go up in the air (or in between steps). My eyes deceived me.

One thing to keep in mind. Beck is 9 months since reconstructive surgery. You grip a wet football different than a dry ball.
His muscle memory hasn’t adapted to his release point yet, gripping a wet football, post surgery IMO.

He was tentative and visibly uncomfortable. Not sure it was as much the Gators D, as it was his confidence in throwing a wet ball.

Facts. And he wasn't allowed to throw on a rope until August. We talk about Lagway not having enough time with his receivers due to injury. Beck never played with any of his receivers until he started throwing in May, and was going through rehab the whole summer (at the same clinic as Lagway, ironically). He's only going to get better.

It’s 100% on Beck. He was absolute dog **** tonight.

Yeah I was wrong. Man I don’t remember it looking like that. Still want Daniels to hand fight or something but just a great play by DB. Beck has to make a better read.

LAMP WAS WRONG. Sorry Marion 😆 & Daniels.

My fault. Tab is on me if I ever see you out.
there was at least 6-7 available on the run for Beck there. Shoulda took that, bad decision. That was a force, nice play by the DB too

you just lost 99.99% of the board
I was following lol. I just missaw (should be a word) what actually took place. Wasn’t even drinking. Live my eyes thought “Marion” settled while the ball floated in a tad late. Wrong ! I saw the check down but yeah on Beck

This was Cam Ward at halftime against FSU last year. Huge favorite against in state rivals..slow first half. He had zero TDs this game (caught one in the second half) but he was still the emotional leader of the team.

I'm not saying Beck has to be the same TYPE of leader.. But he does HAVE TO LEAD.

I wonder how he was on the locker room at half time yesterday? How was he after his INT yesterday?

Wish the camera would have given us some more glimpse of him on the sidelines..his body language.. composure. Emotions.

You could tell he was just flustered all night. Look like he was scared to make a mistake and wasn't playing freely like the last couple weeks. I think he was thinking about last year and throwing 3 INTs.
A lot has been said about Lagway looking like he was having a real time PTSD episode, but Beck didn’t look confident at all. He was shook for a good portion of the night after that first drive.

I didn’t see what was originally posted. My eyes lie to me ALL THE TIME when I’m watching in the moments. Too much emotion. Too many shiny objects.

Beck had a bad game. You could tell early he just wasn’t feeling confident in what was going on. Marty Brown saved his *** on that screen pass. Add in the weather and I just kept thinking “run the **** ball”.
