The governor signed off on sports gambling years ago. It's one federal judge that held it up, over the use of a mobile app (developed by Miccosoukee) for sports gambling. That judge was not appointed by the governor. I'm not sure why your blame would be directed at him with regard to sports gambling.
I assign blame to him because the dynamic with the Seminoles was always known and this state had YEARS to try to address it properly in relation to the expansion of gambling. Instead what we got was beyond sloppy and destined to either be tied up or even defeated on the federal level. It simply wasn't a priority for this gubernatorial administration or the legislature when it should've been and that especially irks a degenerate gambler like myself when we saw energies and focus on a lot of stupid **** like Disney and Reedy Creek.
I get where you're coming from, but I followed the case, and this judge went off the reservation with the ruling (pun intended), has already been overruled, but the government won't give it up for some reason. It smacks of political agendas against Florida and this governor, in particular. Sports gambling is going to be approved, they're just dragging it out to be difficult.
For the record, I don't give a **** about Disney or Reedy Creek either. ****'s dumb.
I have never understood the gambling obsession.
