Thomas Castellanos, sophomore transfer from UCF who grew up in the 305 before finishing up high school in South Georgia (Waycross for y'all who might be familiar with the area).
Watched some of Boston's College game at Syracuse last night and the kid is flat-out a playmaker. Eagles have won five straight (weak comp for sure) and he's passed for 800 yards and ran for 500.
Interesting story (linked below) on his background as an older brother, Akeem Jones, was a star QB at Carol City and legit D1 prospect before going JuCo in Kansas. I'm sure LCE, gogeta and some others knew all about him.
Watching Castellanos reminds me of the type of QB I've often wished Miami had: A guy who could make things happen with his arm and his feet. Surround a difference-maker like that with talent at the other skill positions and we've got something for sure.
LINK: Fueled by the memory of his late brother, Thomas Castellanos has blossomed into a star for BC
