As wins go, this was about as bad as you can get. Particularly, Amp looks lost out there. Some of his passes were head scratchers.

This team ain't making no tournament NCAA or NIT.. no joke

LMFAO at people thinking this team won't make the NIT. This is the epitome of an NIT team, good enough to make the tournament, but not consistent enough to avoid bad losses. You look at this team, they could easily be in the thick of the conference race. Let that marinate. They blew two games to Notre Dame and Duke that they should have won, and they have gotten run of the gym by some awful teams. This isn't a team without talent, this is a team that just isn't consistent in the least. We've all seen what this team can be, the problem is that Coach L isn't able to get 40 minutes of that on a consistent basis. Some of that will come as they gain experience later in the season, some of that will come once L has a real PG to run his offense. It is utterly painful to watch Quan run iso dog****, knowing full well that a real point guard would be finding Davon coming off of screens, and running pick and rolls with Murphy and Huell.

ND was a choke job. All the other losses (both conference and ooc) weren't particularly competitive. The defense was the clear strength of the team, but the last three games (specifically in the second half) the defense has been awful. The problems go far beyond Quan at pg right now.

He was atrocious. He looked as close to a chicken with their head cut off running around as I have ever seen. People who play that game where you walk around a bat and then try to walk in a straight line have more composure than he had passing the ball.

There were a couple that he threw in the general direction of a crowd, seemingly without any particular recipient in mind.

A positive was DJ's defense. Drew 3 offensive fouls. If L needs minutes from him, and he's going to keep shooting 1 of 5 or whatever from 3 every game, he better contribute somehow.

I think we are what we are at this point. A mediocre, inconsistent, hodge podge team that lacks any sort of semblance of depth or chemistry. Unfortunately, if you measure our level of play from the tourney in Orlando to now, there hasn't been any significant improvement.

Also, why does DJ feel the need to chuck the ball the moment he touches it? Some of his 3 point attempts last night were very poor looks. It looks like he forces it and rushes his shot.

DJ's looks are usually pretty clean from my point of view. He's missing them though. So open or not, if you keep missing, it's a problem.

Major problem with this team is the fact that we have good players, but no great players or really good players. We need 4 of them to have good games to win. In ACC play we seem to get 2 or maybe 3 good games from guys and we lose. Newton will drop 23 and Brown will be invisible. The Aussie will drop 15 and score 15 over the next 5 games. Huell will score 8, and then do nothing. It goes on and on and on. We don't have a Sheldon or Shane who can literally take over a game.We don't have a PG like Shane or Angel who can calm us down when we're bleeding. And, our senior leadership, mainly Davon, while a good player, is not the fiery leader we need to take over.
